PONcast Episode 5

Hi all and welcome to the fifth episode of Pride of Nottingham’s PONcast.

In today’s instalment we begin by discussing Notts County’s first new signing of the close season – Exeter City captain Scot Bennett. Is he the right fit for the Magpies? We then move onto rumours relating a link-up between Notts and Liverpool – how did the speculation come about, and what do people think of this potential twinning?

The PONcast also touches on the recent departure of the commercial executive Damian Irvine.

Finally we interview an inspirational Notts fan who is to take part in a charity bike ride in aid of Prostrate Cancer UK.

What makes you say that? lol

I think he's referring to the part where you are talking about "working in the workplace" and you paused and started again.

An interesting listen and I got mentioned twice, fame at last. :biggrin:

Actually, it seems I've uploaded an half edited version. It's amended now, @tonyhateley would you re-check for me?

Thanks @Super_Danny_Allsopp I hadn't noticed :rolleyes::thumbsup:

I agree upon the points raised by the silly tweets, what type of name is 'Leigh' anyway? Back to my point, the two spoken quotes does come across as childish and sensationalised. Yet he is entitled to do whatever he likes within reason from his own twitter account.

I'm also not sure the real journalist comment sends out the right message.

Apart from all that, I found the opinions to be interesting and valid for discussion. You have to crack a few eggs to make the perfect omelet and this PONcast is certainly doing that. The whole batch to date are doing the business and it comes over well. Thumbs up from American Pie!

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I like the way you approach the discussion guys, its more formal and easy to listen too. This is the first one for me but I will be sure to check back in the future! I am only about half way through as it stands now.
