Aileen Trew Resigns

Featured Replies

Thank you, I understand there is support out there. I have, though, heard some of the rumours myself and they make me despair of the human race.

Good to hear from you, hope all is well.

You'd be well advised to not even go near the other board though. Idiots will be idiots.

@[member="erindoors"] i have heard rumours, most people will ignore them. pinch of salt!

why people feel the need to bring others in matters and spread untrue rumours i will never know, tho it happens to everyone. whatever the reason for you resigning, i would personally wish you well but i worry for people in the club. there are some nasty people floating around!

Mrs Trew cause I can't spell you're first name I'm not going to try I just want to thank you and Ray for buying Izale.

And for buying some of the other big players like Jon stead and Rob Milsom who wouldn't off been easy wages.

So Thank You ⚽️⚽️⚽️

No need to clarify, does this not feed the attention of those who spread rumours?

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

For clarity. I have never even thought about having a boyfriend during my marriage.

I also did not step aside because I have children, or need to do the ironing, or because of mindless internet thugs,or because the role was stressful.

If I had wanted to publicise the the world my reasons, then I would have done. Thank you to those on here who have shown kindness. To those spreading filth, I'm surprised the comments have been allowed to stand. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Aileen Trew:

Unfortunately there are people who live such boring and insignificant lives, that they feel the need to do outrageous things,  at the expense of others,  in order to get some meaning to their life. Telling lies from the anonymity  of a message board takes little effort and even less brain, but knowing that he has upset and hurt someone, will in some twisted way, give him  a reason to continue his campaign against others.

Please don't let this mindless moaron stop you from posting on this site. It would rob us of another view of the club, and give him the JOY of knowing he stopped you from posting.

No. And I really don't care if they get a kick out of it, either. I felt the need to clarify, as this is how such rubbish gets around. It's about me. I'm not having lies which turn into gospel about me, that's all. Such comments don't upset me, they are mindless and uninformed. Put yourself in my shoes?

Thanks. No one has ever stopped me from posting anywhere, though. I either ignore it, or if it's getting silly and spreading, I'll correct it. That includes face to face. I pop on here from time to time, so happy to share my views if asked.

There seems to be a few digs towards genuine concerns, yet I have not read the offending message but I do acknowledge PON is a very well ran website. I think its a shame that people choose to scrutinize in life, rather than offer compassion. I would also hope the board realise that any negativity is a minority here. What attracts me to the site is that opinions vary, yet there is one clear underlining reason for people to post and that is to support the club.

Please do not judge a book by its cover or a website a single post. Judge it by the time, effort and passion us fans put in.

Particularly that of someone who clearly loves this club.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I think if you resign from a position as public as this one, and do not give a reason (which of course you are entitled to do), you will always get a certain number of people speculating or creating conspiracy theories. People love a good drama.

Oh, absolutely, especially ones who are anonymous. Like Waldorf.

People who have cared to ask me personally why I stepped aside (I am still a shareholder and Board Director,) have been told the reasons for me leaving. It's not a secret, but suffice to say, people have not been inclined to spread it around.

Personally I'd just do a Jose Mourinho interview to there rumours and speculations so on that would shut them up.

Unfortunately a part of society that has always existed now, through the medium of social media, has the opportunity to gain notoriety and ultimately the attention they crave.

Nothing will ever stop them, the good news is that we all know who we'd rather share our time and a drink with

I did read the offending post and I was very disappointed to see it on this board as it stood out like a sore thumb! Aileen is absolutely right that people are choosing not to spread her reasons for leaving especially on message boards. It's good to have different opinions and discuss what's happening at our club but it disgusts me when someone chooses to post lies and attack an individual. PON is a fantastic site so let's keep it that way :)

I guess if anyone sees that kind of post on here it can be reported to Admin, it seems this one slipped the net which is a shame.

We have very little cause to delete posts on here I think that is the first one I've deleted since being a mod and I hope it remains that way.
