sorry I disagree Stanley has been by far our most best player technically 5x better then this lot he could easily demand a fee  Burke I agree should leave

I'm saying that there is no point in having Stanley on the pitch and therefore he will leave (just fr clarity I really don't want him to) as we will most probably just bypass the midfield with massive long hoof balls to the centre forwards

I dunno il give him a chance as its only fair to but I'm not expecting a lot but if he comes in and played football and we win a don't care how it's done.

This is a physical league with power battle and pace of you have none of that you'll fail like moniz failed cause there was no battle or physicality.

If he brings the right players in makes the right subs at times hel be okay but I still belive cooper was the best bet but I ain't gonna go mad over it I've had my moment yesterday going crazy.

Il give him a chance and see what he can offer i mean he is right in a way we are scoring goals.

But  sometimes we just need to be more structured at the back organised not everyone bomb forward like moniz did

He has as much to lose if he wants to be a manager with success he has got to knuckle down listen take advice and see the game read it and change things at the right time.

he can't be any worse then moniz least he will know what English football is about having coached in it and played in it.

il give him a chance that's all I can say if it fails then it fails if he sucseeds great what happens happens end of we can't control it

3 an a half years contract

In reality, that doesn't actually mean a lot.  Ray Trew has had his fingers burnt too often not to insert some sort of minimal compensation clause if (when?) it goes t!ts up.

il give the bloke a chance after listening to his interview he seems determined to make a point and make a name for him seen.

He also seems the type who ain't gonna expect anything less then 100% and battle otherwise you're dropped and I like the fact he pointed out the goals are good.

But we need defensive structure an key roles defensive in players there has not been fantastic defensive teams at meadow lane but the  top teams ain't great but are all organised an know there role and if he can implicate that into our defenders great.

Im going to give him a chance if he does well fantastic and another I disagree on is people on Twitter Facebook giving death threats and abuse to the trews over this.

Dont get me wrong I was mad at the appointment but now iv calmed am happy to give him a opportunity and support him as i did moniz til he failed.

But yea people who have been sending those kind of threats to the Trews are scum of the earth human beings who deserve to be locked up sorry I had to say that anyone feel free to tell me off about that at will

I don't think you need apologise to anyone for saying that.  It makes you wonder how these people operate, the internet is a wonderful thing but it does give low-lifes the opportunity to act hard from the anonymity of their keyboard.  It's a game of football ffs, I get really involved in it for 90 minutes but by the time I've driven home I've worked out that there are more important things in life.

Unless we've won of course, then I admit to pretending it's really important for a few pints longer!

The BBC stated it's until 2018, so it would seem it's a two year deal not three.

That said, I really don't know as I haven't noticed it mentioned elsewhere and we all know that the media can get things wrong.

If/when it all goes pear-shaped the compensation will be coming out of the chairman's pocket, not mine.

Why are we assuming we'll be playing hoofball? Effective football could just mean tightening up the defence and getting the midfield to support the back four more. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

well the way I see it he seems very determined to do anythin to be successful to me that's a good sign also like the idea he is willing to ask for advice.

Ricardos downfall was no one could give him advice he knew better Fullarton seems keen to ask learn and progress and also seems to have a idea.

And he stated structure organise role responsibility an that's spot on to many of our defence haven't been taking responsibility for there defensive roles.

I Rember when we played Plymouth in my view we dominated the game just cudnt score they got two how there defence was average in my view but they was organised good shape and each player knew his role with the ball and without just basics.

I like the fact he wants to give people a chance then bring in what he feels we need as I feel some players under Ricardo were singled out from the start Spencer Valencic Bennett Adams Curtis the list can go on.

I just hope he proves everyone wrong id rather have someone hungry with a point to prove them someone who's a one season wonder

Saturday is a huge game for him. We have never won at Crawley so he has a chance to correct that. If he doesn't, the pressure will intense, it will be a test of his character. We should be in the playoffs at least and it's the very minimum I'd expect us to achieve this season. Anything less would be failure.

Ive watched Notts for a fair few years now and seen managers come and go....some good and some not so good....the bottom line is the quality of the squad and iam afraid to say apart from maybe 4 players the squad aint nowhere good enough for div. 2 perhaps not even the conference....

That's something that certainly seems to divide opinion, the quality of the squad.  Many claim it's a squad that should be in the top 6, and only the poor management of Moniz was holding us back.  I'd tend to agree with you, though I'd say the squad is mid table at best.  Maybe Fullarton will give us the answer in the coming weeks.

I think when people talk about how good our squad is, they think about how good we look on the ball and going forwards, and not how we degenerate into headless chickens as soon as we lose it.

We have half a very good team. We have a lot of creative players who always look dangerous, create chances and score lots of goals. Unfortunately we also have a soft underbelly - our defence is bottom of L2 standard if that, and it's holding us back. A couple of prudent signings in the transfer window could do us a world of good and allow our attacking players to shine. Teenage strikers from Chelsea, on the other hand, will just bloat the squad and won't solve our problem.

Think you've hit the nail on the head there regards the split opinion about the quality of the squad, DangerousSausage. To quote previous managers who've said "you have to earn the right to play football" seems to be what we have no ability to do. For me, Curtis Thompson is someone, along with at least one commanding centre half being brought in, that we can utilise for that side of our game.

again I think ur wrong not the fact there headless chickens just how they have been set up and organised.

If Fullarton organises everyone off ball so they know there postion there runners etc we won't ship in goals it's just basic defending such as track ur runner keep ur shape postion.

We desperately need energy in the middle tho as that's were we get over run and players don't track aborah is class don't get me wrong but he doesn't track his runners.

Smith has no energy or pace to track anyone who has a yard of pace Milsom Curtis noble that 3 would be more energetic maybe drop Curtis or Milsom a bit deeper just one of them.

It is and deep down I hope he drags our great club into the championship and beyond but I JUST WISH HE'D ANSWER A FOOKING QUESTION DIRECTLY.  What is so wrong with giving someone an answer to a question they have asked not talk about some utter boll0cks and skirt round the question. Sh1tebag from the start with his answers.

Boy I miss Ricardo's directness

I can do direct  :demon:  :)

I'm excited and happy from a win all week, and I'm fuming if we lose til the next point. It's emotional. I can understand it, but what I don't understand is being daft enough to rant on social media. Apart from wins. Then I can rant for Scotland.

Strange coincidence that. @notts-joe told me the discussion was taking place earlier this evening, but I was in a local council meeting discussing...the ridiculous reaction to some recent decisions on social media and how one councillor was using social media as a cess pit to whip up ridiculous and unfounded comments and then standing back and watching the keyboard warriors complete his task for him! It always amazes me how people can say one thing on social media, yet when challenged in person seem to crumble under pressure.

As a refugee seeking asylum for sanity from the other board, which seems to have plundered new depths, greetings to all. I too was slightly underwhelmed by his appointment. However what done is done and I am actually looking forward to the game at "Creepy" tomorrow. I hope Dryden gets a fair crack to become his number 2, having watched a few reserve games this season, his organisational, directional and motivational actions have been plus points. It would also help to disarm the anti Forest aspect of the managerial appointment, with a Notts bias. This is not just a sentimental thought as I firmly believe Dryden will make first team managerial material in the future.

I hope also with Jamie's continental football education, we will see some new set plays from free kicks and corners. Stanley certainly delivered some good dead balls in his last match. It will be interesting to see the defensive line up tomorrow.

You weren't alone at being underwhelmed @Piethagoram I think 99% of Notts fans were. I was against the Moniz sacking but seem to be in a minority and then we appoint this bloke who has no experience whatsoever but like you I feel it's done now so no good whinging anymore and looking forward to Saturday, I hope he gets off to a good start, a draw would do I suppose but a win would be great.
