I've heard a rumour but is it true? Don't want to post anything without confirmation.

Defo 100% true.

Very very sad.

Shocking. No doubt we will soon be told it was the fans fault.

Was that the only word used? I've seen another quoted elsewhere.

No there was more than one other.

All i would say is it must be hard not to rise to it when you care as much as everyone else.

Well it's nice to hear that the clubs owners think we are 'morons' and 'scummy xxxxx'. Plus one of their children was all over FB after the game abusing supports.

All makes for a very dark day at ML. I would like to say I didn't see it coming, but its kind of predictable.

An interesting piece by SlockNCFC16 lifted from elsewhere.

So I wasn't in the best of moods arriving at Meadow Lane today. I had overslept, missed the last direct train to Nottingham from Sheffield that arrives before kick off and then missed a connection from Derby. In the end I arrived at 15:15 via a cab from the station. However, I had made the effort and arrived, and I sat down with my pals in the Family Stand and was at least happy I was in my favourite place to be on a Saturday afternoon at that time.

Sadly, this nice feeling didn't last long. Instead, the frustration at earlier events in the day were soon compounded by anger giving way to depression at the state of affairs at my proud football club. Our team makes no sense, players out of position, our midfield is hopelessly misshapen and lopsided while Curtis Thompson is required to do the work of 2 men while the game as ever passes Smith by, played by younger players who react faster than him and play around him with ease due to his lack of mobility. The strikers do what they can with the 'service' they receive and we plod on, offering little by way of attacking threat while our defence offers the opposition chances sooner or later. We offer no creativity, no real threat, no chance of getting in behind our opponents. This essentially was the story of the rest of the game, with Leyton Orient's winner complete with the usual farcical defending from set pieces, Fullarton's impression of a drunken Glasweigian on an ice rink and the sight of Guy Branston retreating further into the dugout to hide as we got worse and worse providing the only other moments that approached 'entertainment'. All of this while we have a proven effective creative midfielder in Aborah who the manager has clearly decided is too much of a footballer to fit into his team of... Well, what exactly? What are we supposed to be, what football are we trying to play? This team currently offers nothing, not even fight.

All of this in my view is reflected by the funeral-like atmosphere which now hangs over Meadow Lane like frozen fog. Did we sing the Wheelbarrow song once today? If we did, I didn't hear it. It sounded like a sombre and sad occasion, reluctantly attended by people who'd rather this wasn't happening in front of them. Even the Orient fans were quiet besides their goal, getting nothing from us in terms of banter and seemingly also affected by the negative vibes. The only real moments of passion from the fans where singing "You Don't Know What You're Doing" at Fullarton amongst other expressions of dissatisfaction. The players looked like they didn't want it, Roy especially, Stanley Aborah was apparently outside the back of the Pavis saying the manager doesn't like him while after the game I personally saw fans remonstrating in the Executive Suite entrance at the back of the Pavis shouting about Ray Trew's ownership. Regardless of which side one takes on these arguments, we can all agree that things aren't right at Notts and that the fans aren't happy. People and players don't act like this when things are going well.

Anyway, suffice to say that after giving Fullarton another chance after the Wimbledon disgrace, I'm just not interested any more for this season. We all know it's a matter of time before he is sacked with the team playing like that, no one can seriously say they find that kind of performance worth the effort of making it down to Meadow Lane and we all ultimately know we won't be challenging for the play offs and that this season is essentially already dead unless we fail so badly that we are dragged towards relegation. At least under Moniz the football was occasionally worth watching and we looked like scoring, even if we weren't actually that well placed in the table; now we don't even have that, we have one or two shots on target a game if we're lucky and zero flair.

I wish those who do keep going the best of luck, but sad to say, I'm out until next season, by which time Ray has hopefully come to terms with his latest managerial appointment disaster (which by his own standards of moving us forward and not letting us stagnate he is indisputably failing) and gotten someone in with at least a hope of making Notts County a good team to watch.

How to go from Ricardo's total football with chances aplenty to paint drying, in one easy step. This really hurts

I heard @erindoors pass comments but not what people are saying.

Also that was no more a protest than the players who played football supposedly the club. Disgraceful behaviour by all involved.

I'm not surprised people were voicing their displeasure, it's beyond a joke now.

I could have gone today. I could've got the train there and back for less than fifty quid which is pretty good from down here, and its something I have done in the past, even done this season. But I just wasn't feeling it. It' not really fun anymore. I never thought I'd say this but I think I'm losing that love.

There was a time when I'd do anything to see a game. I spent the very last penny I had from my last job to be there that day at Oldham, I've travelled to Sheffield on a Fridy night, not getting home till nearly 5am. You see this club has been a very big part of my life. My Dad took me to my first game in 2004, and unfortunately he passed away a few months later and never got the chance to take me again, but I was hooked, and going to Meadow Lane gave me that release. Something to look forward to. Something I loved. Yeah we were never going to be in the premiership, I've never expected that, but I at least knew the eleven on the pitch would sweat blood and tears for that badge. Do I feel like I still see that now? Honestly, not really no. Now, even when we do win it feels more like brief restbite than any sign of actual progression. It feels like its just papering over the cracks.

The fact we're in such a sorry state is no one person's fault, it's a combination of things. In a way I really feel asorry for Fullarton because he is on a hiding to nothing. But the truth is he should never have got the job in the first place, and he looks out of his depth. And the fact that he appears to have totally frozen out arguably our only player with any genuine talent says it all.

This clubs been on a slippery slope for a good five years now, and I really don't see where we can turn it around. We'd all love nothing more than for Fullarton to succeed, but come on, realistically can anybody see it? Surely a few months down the line we'll be back to square one yet again. And you have to say if Ray Trew's biggest gamble yet in this appointment doesn't pay off, he'll be under far more scrutiny than ever.

The future looks very bleak indeed. I really fear for next season already, there really is nothing about this cub to be even a tiny bit optimistic about right now.

Next weekend we play Plymouth away. Two hours from me in Weymouth although I'll have to leave at 8:30am due to the rubbish train links down this enck of the woods. Normally I'd be there without a second thought, but in all honesty, for the first time I really am not sure I can be bothered sitting on trains and buses for four hours and spending over fifty quid to see us probably get a fairly sound beating.

Some people might call me a fair weather fan for that, but I'm certainly not the only one feeling this way right now. Those fans who continue to turn up week in week out or as often as they can when circumstances allow have my utmost respect. It's very difficult to stomach at the minute

Did anyone actually hear this for themselves.

I wasn't far from the incident but I was busy talking to @Dan and several other people. I didn't really want to get caught up in it, as the last thing which was required was for me to take pictures. I would also like to mention how disappointed I am by the polices response, absolute joke by them and the officer who kicked off at me.

I have never used that word in my life. The story is getting highly embellished. One report also states I called fans the c word. Another word I have never used. Its true, I answered back to a particular "fan" who has been using vile abuse to berate me on social media for about 5 years, though. He thought it disgraceful (not his exact words) that I should have an opinion on that.

no one said any such thing. And I don't know what my 11 year old said on Facebook after he heard his mum on the receiving end of vile abuse from Grown men.

I think whatever was or wasn't said that far too much importance will be attached to it.  Emotions were running high on all sides and some of the abuse from certain fans was out of order.  It's not always easy to bite your lip in the face of that kind of vitriol.

Very brave of you to come on here tonight. You deserve a lot of credit for that. I, for one, am glad to hear your denials.

I remian highly critical of the board's recent decisions, but will never abuse you or your family or the manager personally.

Everyone involved with the club will be down after any defeat ...EVERYONE..but fans, and it's a minority I'm sure, giving out personal abuse is not ever able to be justified. People involved in the game are naturally thick skinned and don't expect plaudits all the time , but at the same time , they are people with families and for others to hear personal insults dished out to their nearest and dearest isn't cool.

I agree, very good of you to come on here tonight Mrs T, whenever I have seen you on here you are always very kind and respectful, and I believe if people are giving you grief despite your position you are entitled to give just as much back, football is about the match and things should never get personal, it is a game of opinions but it is bang out of order to make things personal.

Naturally I wasn't pleased with today's performance but that's not your fault, we have to stick together, fighting against each other is ridiculous
