Competition Time

OK, Notts season is fizzling out into the equivalent of one of those "parties" that your mate invited you to when you were 15 years old......you were told to bring a 4-pack of Babycham and some Gold Label because half of Westwood Girls School was going to be there.......and these girls had a serious reputation........ruff ruff ruff!

You spend 2 hours gelling your hair, picking the sexiest tank-top and flared trouser combo you can find, and brush your teeth until the gums bleed.

You arrive with hormones running riot................only to discover half the rugby team and a dozen other panting, acne-covered males sipping Warninks Advocaat.......damn, life is cruel.

Welcome to a life of supporting Notts.....perpetual disappointment sprinkled with a touch of total desolation....suck it up Son, it's "character-building"......no it's not Dad, it's ****, and I hate you......why couldn't we live in Leicester?

Anyway, now I've vented my spleen......Competition Time.

Where will Notts finish....and how many points?

Not too difficult........only 11 games left (anyone choosing 74 points+ needs a serious Maths lesson....plus a course of little blue tablets!)

Me first.........21st and 46 points

Some serious prizes on offer............or possibly not, remember the moral of the above story.....perpetual disappointment is good for you!

@ivansneck  As thread moderator, you have been given a Yellow Card for being silly.......you have time to change your choice before it is added to the table.

ps keep taking those tablets

I appeal!!

When I ws a kid I was a season ticket holder on the terraces at Everton with a load od dockers. before the game we used to do score predictions, but you were not allowed to predict anything less than 5-0 to Everton. When nobody won at the end of the game (occasionally!!), the money was given to charity. Anything less than 5-0 was a 'tory' prediction, not the most popular party in those parts!

On another thread I said 4th bottom - is that allowed Mr Pessimist!!? 45 points.

4th bottom and 45 points is acceptable Mr Evertonian ex-docker, your yellow card has been rescinded ....I am pleased that the tablets are helping!

ps please can can we have some more stories of big hunky dockers.....in an effort to boost PON numbers, we are appealing to the LGBT community!

pps my Notts mate Branno and I always used to back Notts to win 4-2 every week with the Ladbrokes girls, remember them?....at 40 to 1.

One week we were winning 4-2 with 10 minutes to go.....Notts went on the attack and we both stood up in the Pavis stand moaning "Nooooooooo".....then did a small cheer as the striker shot wide.

We had a few strange glares until we showed everyone our betting slip......we held on to win 4-2.....£200 bought a few beers that week....happy days

I too will maintain an optimistic outlook,

22nd , with 40 points.

It's gonna be a long long haul to the end of season festivities.

47 points and 21st place.

Bit sad that only one of us has predicted us to pick up more points than last season ...

Only 2 people predicting 50 points or more, which is normally the minimum points needed to avoid relegation!
