Aborah and Amevor to leave?

What I will say that Stanley should command a transfer fee of say Eur 200,000  that should help pay Mansfield and lift the embargo... To release on a free, you can forget season ticket money from me...and a vote of no confidence in the new CEO

I wouldn't be too bothered if Amevor left on a free. Stanley is a different matter. Who could blame him for wanting to leave but we need to do everything we can to hold onto him.

Naturally I think Aborah is someone we should be building a team around, some people don't rate him as highly as I do but I think with a better team around him he could be a real influence on the way we play

Although I think we should be holding on to our best players, there's no point in holding onto someone who wants to go. And I wouldn't blame Aborah for finding FC Eindhoven more appealing than Notts.

To play the devil's advocate re transfer fees: if they go on a free, the club saves their wages, which likely amount to a decent six-figure sum. We can then use that to sign two or three players who are better suited to League Two. Or not.

I hope they both go.  In my opinion Aborah is vastly overrated, a few clever turns doesn't make him a good player.  According to the stats on the official site he has scored ONE goal and made ONE assist all season.  He covers very little ground, can't be bothered to track back and is an absolute dream to play against.  I know most will disagree, but I see him (and Noble) as a big part of how awful we were defensively last season and would be happy to see him gone.  I don't think his heart is in the club so it's best for everyone to part company.  Amevor has impressed in reserve games but never really looked the part in the first team.  We should be looking for better.

Amevor, I'm not remotely interested in seeing return to action for us.

Aborah would be useful with the right players around him and perhaps pushed up, if we could get a proper DM he would be useful but I'm not overly fussed about many of the players at the club right now.

@Elite_pie I know we disagree on Stanley, but unfortunately you seem to have confidence that Guy can source better? Nurse!!! :D

Mixed feelings really think Stan would do better in a more balanced team where his defensive responsibilities were not to great , don't think we'll get to see that no doubt he'll be gone as for Amevor don't feel he is a good fit for us in league 2 so it frees up a little money while things are tight.

Fair play @Piethagoram , I should have realised that when I typed "We should be looking for better" that there was a major flaw in that statement.  Maybe I was dreaming that the hedge fund / Chinese consortium / Norwegian billionaire / real Munto would appoint a competent Head of Recruitment!

there is going to be a lot of rebuilding but surely if they go it will be for a fee? that might not be the best outcome for us.

a different manager might get better from them but yeah there will be work required. if they go, we will find other players and i would hope that they are better.

Moniz taking advantage of Branston running the show me thinks. Amevor can go, he hasn't looked good enough and you can't hang around waiting in League 2. Stanley should command a fee, even if it's "undisclosed", but I wouldn't want him to leave as I think he could be an asset with the right players around him and playing a system that suits.

But where would this fee go? To the club, or to RT via his loans to the club?

@Super_Danny_Allsopp fee to the Club...... to suggest otherwise, the Moderators here need to be wary of such implications...very much more serious than @Tarkers indiscretion.

Not sure why. It's a simple enough question.

Would the money be spent on the playing squad next season, in terms of transfer fees or wages, or will it find it's way into paying one of RT's debts because he can no longer be bothered stumping up the bill for the failure of his own causing? Maybe it will even go to Mansfield seeing as RT mugged them off as well.

I very much doubt it will be the former, which is why I'm holding out on putting even another £1 into the club until it is sold to new owners.

@Super_Danny_Allsopp...If you read again your post, it can be construed that you are questioning such proceeds can go DIRECT to RT. That cannot be the case, otherwise the Club may be fined and subject to points deduction... What I am trying to say that Moderators need to be aware of legal implications of some called "innocent" postings, without being aware that they can be at risk of actions

I will edit the post to include the word 'loans' (as in RT's loans to the club). There is no point in getting a transfer fee if it goes to paying RT off, he already thinks he can get around 8 mil for the club.

It's sad that in this day and age we can't discuss a football club we support in case a person(s) worth millions is hovering about threatening legal actions.
