Posted August 4, 20186 yr #1 I am hopeful Notts can start to settle our own youth players into the first team, based on comments I have read two players sound like they may contribute to this campaign but I'm curious who everybody here thinks may come good this season? Do any of the youth team players look able to feature in the first team at all?

August 4, 20186 yr #3 Its always going to be difficult playing kids when you've gone out and spent so much pre-season, they are different ethos' so to speak. As for which ones will make it, well I've been banging on about Remaye Campbell for a long time, he is the pick of the bunch by a long way for me, the others that should make it this season are Max Culverwell, Alex Howes and Dongda He. I think we should loan out all of them on immediate recall to conference teams so that they could hopefully get valuable experience.
August 4, 20186 yr #4 dongda he and alex howes look ready, they did well in the pre season and deserve to get a few minutes on the field here and there. dongda he could fit into the squad right now imo tho.
August 4, 20186 yr #5 It depends on if Kevin Nolan gives them game time. I think the JPT will see them feature and if they do well, hopefully he will allow them to take part in some form of league game action.
August 4, 20186 yr #6 I think there's room for energy and fresh legs of youthful spirit within the Notts squad. We lacked that go forward and 'try' attitude today, I honestly think we should start giving them a go - 10-20 minutes wouldn't harm here or there.
August 4, 20186 yr #7 Get Dongda He in the team now! Notts needs a player who can run and take on players, he will come good if he plays.

August 4, 20186 yr #9 I agree with @KingKev, giving a run for 20 minutes may have given us the quality we need and if he struggled against Colchester at least he would have learned something.
August 4, 20186 yr #10 I think they will be key this season but which one not sure they need to be utilised in the correct way though to help maintain confidence
August 4, 20186 yr #11 I don’t see Kevin Nolan giving any of the younger players much game time if at all, regardless.
August 4, 20186 yr #12 I would like to think one or two could feature and grow further, I don't think there is anyone who is ready to be a first team player but casual appearances I don't see why not.
