Whats going wrong?

I have about had it with this team, manager, owner and backroom staff. After all the stories I have heard about why certain people, players and staff left just prior to the sacking of KN and just after it is all coming together and making sense now. I personally feel like the majority of this was planned and Alan Hardy has gotten too greedy.

I don't care what anyone says about the word 'hope'. We are going to finish mid table at best this year but from the display we put on against Oldham we deserve to go down. I have seen about 3 positive performances this season so far and the rest has been utter garbage.

People have been saying 'Why are you moaning? This is what it's like supporting Notts' well ... it shouldn't be like that, things have happened this year that has been out of fans control that makes us look like an absolute laughing stock. I didn't attend the Oldham game in a sort of personal protest but my Dad insisted on buying it on IFollow but I didn't pay so just thought I would sit down and watch it with him. After what I saw I can't believe what I saw.

WE HAVE A 100K STRIKER being played up top on his own playing hoof ball nd hoping he gets on the end of a few crap balls.

Something has to change quick and we payed a sum for those two sorry excuses for coaches on the sidelines. Well KN wasn't given time at the start of the season so neither should HK. If November doesn't change I will be calling for his sacking. Possibly the worst managerial appointment in recent times for Notts' We had the chance to get someone like Bowyer, Appleton, Ferguson and we fluffed it. The team we have is one of the best in the league so I can't believe he's benching 4 CB's a game and claiming 'It's to combat the opposition's strengths' ... Is it balls. It's because he can't admit to the media he's lost half of his dressing room already the wet wipe. (Jones, Bird, Vaughan, Kellett, Husin, Patching, Crawford) All players who should be on the bench and can make an impact instead the bench is full of kids because no one wants to play for him.

Let me know what you think but I am really angry about how everything is run at the club. Most of the problems are from higher up in the board room etc. And something has to change and drastic otherwise we won't be in the football league next year.

1) The transfer window. Not keeping Michael O'Connor.  Not keeping the leaders in the team like Alan Smith, Shola Ameobi (who was also a target man if we needed to launch it upfield) and Mike Edwards. Signing David Vaughan was a waste of time because he can't play O'Connor's role and he's useless. Not improving the defence which had troubles last season. Not replacing Ryan Yates. Cough cough Harry Pell

2) Nolan changing the whole philosophy. Only needed a little more passing and that was it. Not a reconstruction and trying to become like Eddie Howe's Bournemouth. Last season we were strong because we utilised our strengths well. Keep doing that and add a bit more passing when needed instead of panic hoofing. Stead, Ameobi, Dennis and Hemmings should have been the front four. Pell in to replace Yates. O'Connor kept.

3) Nolan getting pissed. We all know about that.

4) When Nolan was sacked it should have been Bowyer or Ferguson. We are not a project, we are a football club and I want to get away from danger first before planning on becoming the next Luton. Kewell could have worked but we need to win games like we did when Nolan first came in, not trying to continue to develop passing football when we haven't got the players to do it.

If we hadn't messed about in the summer, stuck to our strengths and signed the right players, the starting x1 should have been:

Fitzsimons, Tootle, J.Mullins, Hall, Jones, Boldewijn, Pell, O'Connor, Kellett, Stead, Dennis

I don't know what's going wrong to be honest, I'm not sure its wise to listen to rumours because half the time they aren't true anyway. I think it was a mistake to sack Nolan but having done so Hardy took another gamble on a rookie manager, at the moment it doesn't look like its paying off, Hardy has brought in the experience of Paul Hart to help him but that doesn't seem to be working either. One problem with continually sacking managers is that the new manager has to work with the players that the previous incumbent has signed and this is the case mostly with Kewell.

What do we do now? Wait and see if Kewell gets it right, will he sign some good players in January and get rid of some he doesn't want? Do we trust his judgement on signing players? If he gets it wrong and Hardy wields the axe we'll have another manager with players he doesn't want and all the time we are having to pay off their wages or let them sit around while we are paying them.

What's the answer? I don't know, sacking managers every five minutes doesn't work, my gut feeling is to stick with Kewell and hope it comes good. Plus if you're religious say a little prayer that we don't end up in the National league.

Too many knee-jerk reactions.

The club's added pressure on themselves, it's not about trying to win pretty or play good football it's deeper than that. Those who called for Kevin Nolan's head are very fickle and are a massive part of why Notts will never have stability.

People need to prevent blame and try to encourage, actually support the club sometimes.

And not when we are winning!

Not picking the right managers for notts would be one thing.

Another would be that kewell doesn't seem to know what team formation to play to get the beat results or any for that matter.

I agree fans are fickle calling for Nolan’s head but they didn’t sack him there’s only one person did that and he should be the one to blame for Nolan going. Did he pander to the fans wishes in sacking Nolan or did he make his own mind up? We’ll never know but it was too soon in my opinion.

I’ve thought about this till my head hurts there is so many faults and things that have gone wrong and many of the posts I’ve read has been covered in what I’m thinking about what’s going wrong.

So much at fault it’s hard to put your finger on it and with so many opinions that I think are true or close to it it’s a hard one to call

Every club wants to be successful, every fan wants to see their team win (and mostly win well), we are all sad, angry, disappointed and sick of the drudge of league 2. However no one has the right to be successful, or the right to be anywhere other than their results dictate.

The fact is we were a sinking ship before Alan Hardy took over, yes we are still shipping water, but we are still battling the storm. Last season we over achieved and this season we are back where we were before Kevin Nolan took over.

So people are now calling for Kewell’s head, where on earth is that going to get us ? Another manager will still be ham strung until January. The players we have are all under contract so who is going to take any of them in order for us to strengthen an already bloated squad?

People want Alan Hardy out !! For Christ’s sake, he owns the club, he isn’t a paid employee. Who else is going to put money into Notts? Think back to the last few owners, they hardly did us any favours!

It’s going to take a long time to get Notts to a position we would all like us to be in. Continually swapping managers will not guarantee anything but instability. A new owner (unless it’s a faceless foreign crook or fraudster) will not necessarily bring the finance required to put the club where many expect us to be.

We are where we are, all the howling of discontent will not do any good at all. We have to put our faith in a man who has sunk a fortune into the club trying to bring the success that we all crave.

So, unless anyone has a spare few million to put down now, with further massive instalments required year on year, and willing to listen to fan’s (who have 20/20 hindsight) dissatisfaction and or derision ringing in your ears, I suggest the best thing to do is get real, put your energy into supporting the club, the owner and the manager. You never know, it might make you feel part of the struggle to succeed.

same idiots are calling for kewell without any thought behind the damage that their mindless rants do.
