Dennis to Grimsby?

Bizzare transfer? 100K spent on him in summer and moved onto what I assume is a loan to buy in the summer for Grimsby. Fair enough it is what it is but just hasn't worked for him at Meadow Lane yet. Still on a three year deal I believe though.

Completed.

Rubbish player.

He's rubbish but Richard Duffy isn't?

Kristian Dennis has struggled at Notts but he's a good player, an asset I feel we'll miss and I hope we manage to retain him because he's one of those strikers who clearly has goals if he gets the service. It's his downfall that the midfield and wingers haven't done enough, whilst his own fitness was a further setback - the clubs lack of fitness management I feel has played part in that.

I'm pretty annoyed because the club needs a striker, if Kane Hemmings isn't ready to come back - does this mean we have Jon Stead up top alone?

Craig Mackail-Smith is better out wide IMO.

Not sure I said Richard Duffy was good in that post?

Why loan dennis, but keep duffy.

His heart wasn't in it and it showed, he had very little impact on games (unlike Hemmings who always gets himself involved). The manager is trying to bring in players who will fight and I'm fully on board with that.

was annoyed but others have come in, dennis could benefit from playing weekly.

Dennis would of been fine staying if he wasn't put with duffy, because he was given the blame for duffys mistakes alot.

This might be the one decision that may haunt Notts.

At least its only for the end of the season but i don't see why they came up with the decision to send him out on loan.

😂😂😂😂 What?

I'm no Duffy fan, but blaming his mistakes for how Dennis has been playing (or hasn't, as the case may be), is ludicrous.

Dennis would have been fine if he was properly prepared after signing and playing alongside a target man. Unfortunately we haven't had one all season which brings us all the way back to the ludicrously unbalanced summer signings made by Nolan and Hardy.

The whole team hasn't really been playing together as a team because some of their skills don't match. Some matches they played well but just didn't get the results, but not many this season.

Stupid decision but it does make sense, if the club market him [if he does well] it should allow us to recoup some of the money spent. I think considering the signings, he would struggle to get into the squad.

So he does need to be playing, though I do still feel it's rash and stupid.

You seem very defensive of him buddy.

He's awful and if Notts are to improve, he needs to go. He's horrible as a captain and I'd rather stick Kristian Dennis in his place than to start Richard Duffy.
