Remaye Campbell needs a chance for Notts

I’ve got it on good authority that Neal Ardley isn’t interested in playing Notts county forward youngster Remaye Campbell. Despite him scoring in the reserves and under games and playing really well. But it seems that Harry Kewell wasn’t interested in him either the only person was Kevin Nolan. Apparently Kevin was a mentor to him and the youngsters but since his departure that mentor ship has since stopped. Now I know people may say it due to Kevin we are in this predicament and the new managers need to focus on survival but youth is the key for next season and if they are not getting the support or chance or mentor ship what can we do.

So my question is Would you give Remaye Campbell a chance in the first team.?

It's hard to say really, in situations like this you have to trust the manager's judgement. Reserve football and the first team are poles apart - how many youngsters have we had who have disappeared off the map completely? And asking a teenager to save our season... that's a tough one. It must be nerve-wracking enough to make the step up without that kind of pressure.

Neal Ardley needs to go for the experience at this stage, Campbell might not be scared and his lack of fear could help but I just feel our youngsters are too lightweight for this situation.

i would love him to get game time but is he not out on loan currently? think notts needs have more faith in playing young pros.

I can't see it happening.

There's other youngsters doing well in the reserves and playing consistently well (whilst scoring) - yet are overlooked.

I just think  maybe the last 20 minutes or so would help. He is scoreing and I know that first team is a step up but he could shock us.

I can't see him or any of the youngsters being given a chance, Neal Ardley seems to favour experience and overplaying people. Rotation might be a good thing as  there worthy candidates for a chance but I just can't see it.

Given how Neal started his managerial career in an academy I'm sure he's got an idea if a player is ready or not. And I'm sure he'd love to have the youngsters coming through but right now unless we have a mass injury problem I can't see it happening.

I'd rather chuck Enzio up top if I'm honest, he really could cause teams problems.

I do think some players get a bit overlooked though and I hope the likes of Osbourne and Bird get more of a chance next season....

I feel it's a good call, I would just instruct Enzio to come to the byline to support the winger. If he doesn't drop too deep, it would allow him to cut inside and that's where he's most dangerous. On the turn and pushing forwards with a run on goal.

He won't start or play much IMO, I think he will end up being released.

I think he's a good prospect for the future and someone deserving of time on the field, however I feel he needs to bulk up. Quite possibly he needs to gain league experience in the National League too.
