Untangling the spaghetti at Notts County

Featured Replies

I am currently in the midst of writing a piece about what needs to happen in regards to Notts to make sure we can move forward as a club and escape the boom and bust model we currently haveΒ

Topics I have at the minute include

- Decisions on managers
- Managerial tactics
- Player recruitment and scouting
- Training ground and facilities
- Owners and board level decisions
- Youth team

Would anyone else like to include anything to write about?

Thanks

I agree with this

- We need to improve our penne-alties (sorry).

- We (both the board and the fans) need to let the manager put together a squad and develop it in peace without losing our minds when we lose a couple of games. It can take years to build a strong squad.

- Continuity at all levels of the club, from the boardroom to the youth setup.

- When we sign players, they need to have the right spirit and fit into the dressing room. Everyone wants to be paid well, but we need players to be joining us for the right reasons. Under the last two chairmen we've developed a habit of flashing the cash and hoping for the best, and the results have been disastrous and hugely wasteful.
