Slocombe stays at The San Sirrel!

Featured Replies

Considering the rumoured interest, I'm even more delighted that he has stayed! I thought we stood little chance as you've got to understand EFL is far more appealing than the National League.

Whatever the backstory, it's great news.

Just need to build in front of him now, ???? confident we have the best keeper in this league.

A field where dreams become reality.

By far the best news so far, Sam Slocombe extending his stay should ease the nerves of anyone worried that players are jumping ship. Building on the established players we have had for a few seasons now is the way to build a promotion chasing team.

A settled, happy camp!

Good to see Slocombe give another 2 seasons to getting Notts up, now to find someone who can understudy him and come through when needed.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

2 more years without having to worry about the keeper. His experience should help.

If he’d left, I’m sure we would have got an adequate replacement, but this allows the recruitment team to focus themselves elsewhere and keeps an experienced player in the building.

Thankful that there won't be a major change in goal, I thought at the Eastleigh game the first season he signed that he looked a quality keeper. Happy with the 2 year deal, needs to be renewed half way into that though.

Crucial extension, pleased that Sam Slocombe has agreed to a 2-year-deal. By time that expires he should be around 35-years-old, so I think him remaining longer provided Notts hasn't moved on at the time is quite likely to happen.
