  1. Reading what Ruben has to say takes much of the “why Oxford United” from my mind. I don’t know what type of football they play in League One. Yet to get the best out of Ruben, they need to avoid hoofing it. He improved as our passing play did; the quicker we knocked it around on the ground, the more he stood out.
  2. This is by far the most wonderful but yet at the same time weirdest discussion I have read on the internet. A train that brings you food and a wheelie bin that takes itself to the street to be emptied.
  3. Good luck to Dicko. I know he could be a little angry at times but other than trying his best, there’s not much else to say.
  4. I am pleased David McGoldrick has had the chance to return to Meadow Lane, where he wants to retire. I like these kinds of stories. I am not sure what to make of the stories about him attending games or bumping into Charlie Slater. I think some of this is good PR work but it’s no doubt a coup for us.
  5. It's unfortunate that the signatures are turned off for me, even though I've enabled them. I don't think I'll be using them much anyway.
  6. I worked, I am a security guard in Nottingham on the graveyard shift. Though I can't go into the inner workings of the location, I can say it is a rather eerie experience. The darkness and silence were only punctuated by the occasional rustling of the leaves or the creaking of a fence. I have to remained alert throughout the night, knowing that my vigilance was crucial for the safety of the premises. Nothing ever happens at this location, it's rather spooky though.
  7. I think it would be invaluable to chat with the Reedtz brothers and gain an insight into their vision for the club. One question that comes to mind is how they plan on developing the club's youth academy. With more and more top-tier clubs investing in their youth infrastructure, it would be fascinating to know if the Reedtz brothers have similar plans for Notts County. I would also be interested in learning about the potential transfer strategy for the club under their leadership. Would they focus on players with extensive experience, ready to take on the challenge of pushing Notts County towards greater heights? Or would they seek out promising young talent who could grow and evolve while under the tutelage of established, experienced players? Beyond these queries, it would be gratifying to hear about their long-term plans for the club. What kind of football would they like to instil? And how would they seek to engage and unite the community around the club? All in all, this conversation would be highly enlightening for any Notts County supporter, and we would be eager to learn about the Reedtz brothers' goals for the club.
  8. I believe there is a distinction between players such as David McGoldrick, compared to others like Joel Senior. It appears that those with greater merit tend to carry more weight in the reports. Nonetheless, I don't devote substantial attention to these reports.
  9. I haven’t heard of him, which is strange since he plays for West Ham. I don’t pay much attention to the Premier League or Match of the Day; the attraction has fizzled out.
  10. Due to my night shifts, I think only the home games are realistic for me to attend. I don’t have my rota for those dates yet, so I could find myself off on one or two. If I am lucky, I will be able to attend a few.
  11. Jodi Jones is a classy player. I just hope if he does play, he doesn’t pick up an injury. I am sure he will be fine, but I do worry. Best of luck to him.
  12. I wish Ricardo all the best in his new role; the Croatian league could be a breath of fresh air for him. If he can attract the players on the money available to him, who knows what he can do.
  13. It’s good to know the pre-season fixtures. I wish the club would have them all ready to be announced or, if they must, announce home and away separately instead of slowly filtering them out. It makes it seem like it’s a slow news week.
  14. Insane amount of nutmegs, but if he pulled 5/6 off in one game then there’s no surprise. Against Wrexham too? Classy player. I hope he stays!
  15. It’s sad; there’s a lot of corruption in sport, but if they have the money and fans, they should try to fix what is broken with their game.
  16. Interesting, as I thought he was doing well for them. I suppose they want a change, but his career has been quite good. I wouldn’t mind seeing him back at Meadow Lane; he can cover centre back as did Adam Chicksen, but I think it’s rather likely a younger left-back will sign.
  17. It is a shame; I hope Patrick Thistle manages to resolve the mess they’re in. It sounds like the fans are really at their breaking point.
  18. Great signing! I wouldn’t have minded Kristian Dennis coming back to Notts. I know this would be a bit top-heavy, but think of the experience he can pass onto Macaulay Langstaff and Cedwyn Scott. Tranmere have done well to capture his services, especially with Carlisle going up to League One.
  19. One of the very best heels ever in wrestling, people talk about Ric Flair but the Iron Sheik could set an arena on fire without so much as lifting his arm. He will be missed! Rest in Peace...
  20. Awful to learn about Chloe Gibson, very sad news. May she rest in peace.
