  1. The fact that they have been caught is highly suspicious and I do not recall reading any expressions of concern from their fans. The situation with Notts is not really comparable as that was a single season and the EFL actively sought answers which ultimately led to the unraveling of the scam, even more so than Sol Campbell did. This has been ongoing since 2017 and spans multiple seasons.
  2. I do not believe that streaming services have any impact on my ability to think of films. However, I do find them guilty of hoarding content and making it difficult to access the content I want without having to pay for each individual service, which I refuse to do.
  3. I do not have any recollection of the incident in question. However, I am pleased that the York player was caught and punished for his actions. In my opinion, a three-game suspension for violent conduct, particularly for an elbow, seems rather lenient.
  4. Based on his performance, he appeared to be a promising player. However, one appearance is not enough to make a conclusive judgment. It would be advisable for Luke Williams to give him more playing time to see if he can consistently demonstrate the potential he showed against Forest. If he continues to perform well, he should be signed.
  5. It is encouraging to see a large number of young players transitioning into the scholarship program. This is a positive indication of the effective work being done by the academy. Hopefully, with time, some of these players will become members of the squad.
  6. Best Signing: Jodi Jones Highest Goal Scorer: Macaulay Langstaff Most Improved Player of the Season: Junior Morias Most Starts in the Season: John Bostock Best partnership between two players: John Bostock and Kyle Cameron
  7. I’ve seen the interview and read a bit about it. I am hoping Dele Alli can move beyond his struggles and make a comeback. Clubs don’t always know what’s going on, and sometimes people just don’t know how to help. I’m not justifying Spurs.
  8. I won’t be able to attend due to work commitments. Although I can accept this, it is still disappointing. However, if you don’t work late, then you might be able to go. Unfortunately, I work in night security.
  9. Hello, @Bryn Roberts. Welcome to the site. I hope to see you joining in with PON.
  10. Hello, @Kevin May. Welcome to the site. I hope to see you joining in with PON.
  11. Like everyone else before me, I feel there’s no need for it at all. There should be a zero-tolerance policy for abusive shouts. Once a fan is kicked out a few times, they will start to rethink things. Likewise, if people call it out, then it will most likely stop. I have told people in the past to give it a rest when all they do is moan or shout offensive things. I remember a few years back, Tyrell Waite getting stick from this fan who sat near me. He had missed a chance, but it wasn’t the worst effort. He shouted to get Waite off the pitch, among comments about him being hi and not good enough. I told him to give it a rest; he still continued, but it did make others heckle him into stopping. There’s just no need for it; it causes them hassle, others headaches, and it takes away from everybody’s enjoyment, not forgetting killing the confidence of the players.
  12. I have pre-purchased the blue away shirt. I fetched it after the Stoke game to see the queue less ‘busy’. It took some time for my single shirt to be found. I think Lynn needs to come up with a better system than boxes on the floor. I felt sorry for the poor girl having to rummage through the boxes.
  13. Hopefully, Southend will come good in time. It’s not nice to see a club struggle. They need to freshen things up and find a new owner; they deserve that at the very least.
  14. I can’t make any of the dates because I need to rest for work. I would be tempted to pop down, but I don’t sleep as easily when it’s light. Once I’m off, I’m gone. Once awake and it’s light outside, it’s not so easy. Has anyone taken the club up on this yet?
  15. Sochaux used to be bigger than they are now. I hope they manage to survive their financial issues. The French leagues aren’t easy when you don’t have money. It’s much harder to survive or even attract interest.
  16. I believe Steve Hodge had a brief stint as the head of the youth system during the ill-fated Trew era, if I remember correctly?
  17. Unfortunately, the young centre back doesn't seem to have what it takes to succeed. He performed poorly against Nuneaton. In comparison to Owen Betts when he was here, he falls short. While he may improve, he currently appears to be a liability. We have other, better young players who could have made better use of the game time. If he's playing due to the risk of injury, it suggests we need to bring in another centre back. The rest of the squad did well, and I don't think Aidan Stone can be blamed for any of the goals. It is what it is, and we move on.
  18. It’s a challenging league to return from, and I’m surprised he agreed to sign given the many better options available. I fear this may be the point in his career where things start to unravel.
  19. I’m not particularly concerned about the programmes, as I haven’t purchased one in over a decade. I understand why some fans might be disappointed, but even a 30-page programme seems excessive to me. While others may want them, I would be content with just a team sheet.
  20. Can you imagine being that 14-year-old? I bet an account of the story would be interesting to hear. If they were a good player, imagine what sort of spotlight those 20 minutes could have done for him. Just for the bragging rights alone, it’s one hell of a story.
  21. I wouldn’t have returned either, but football is a different kind of job. When it comes to being pushed, I am much more stubborn.
  22. I thought Archie Mair performed well and gained confidence while he was with us. I appreciate his contributions and am grateful for his role in helping us return to the Football League. However, I don’t believe he is quite ready for regular first-team football. Some fans may want him here simply because they dislike Sam Slocombe for some reason. If there are fans who genuinely believe he could do well here now, then fair play to them. But I think most of those who want him here fall into the group that enjoys criticising our keepers.
  23. I believe that our fans will consume any beverage if it helps them forget and provides them with a sense of comfort. Personally, I am less concerned about it. The KOP is a terrible place to get served and I have stopped trying. I don’t think people will be happy if the prices increase again.
  24. He is a good player, but I have doubts about his ability to be a successful coach. Additionally, I am uncertain about his temperament. Playing is one thing, but he never seemed to be someone who assisted younger players while he was at Notts. I suppose it remains to be seen if he can make the transition from player to coach.
  25. Callum McGregor always seemed destined to lead Celtic one day. He was given the shirt and has done everything he can to retain his place. Just like his predecessor, he won’t leave until he retires from the game.
