  1. I believe the current prices are for premium events, so I can’t envision the club charging Notts fans these rates on match days. At least, that’s what I’ve heard, and it seems logical. It wouldn’t make sense to charge Notts fans those prices for league games. Therefore, I’m quite content with The Nest. It’s genuinely a nice place.
  2. I sincerely hope we can retain him for this season. Advancing to League One could be a significant milestone. Although a substantial transfer fee could further Notts’ progress, I believe he holds greater value to us. I’m hopeful that Notts will turn down the offer and that Macaulay Langstaff remains content and dedicated to us.
  3. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @BiggestPieInGlasgow.
  4. I’m interested to see how things develop. Macaulay Langstaff will undoubtedly have a price tag, and Notts has its own aspirations. If Notts can retain him for this season, I believe we have a solid chance at promotion. However, finding his replacement through our recruitment process shouldn’t be too difficult. Let’s wait and see what transpires. Apparently, the chief scout on X has confirmed the bid. Does anyone know if this is accurate?
  5. The act of throwing bottles is disgraceful. It’s acceptable to voice your opinions or chant them, but there’s no justification for hurling objects or being offensive.
  6. I’m not convinced that the current form will be sufficient to reach the final. England has a strong team and anything is possible, but there are other teams in good form. Austria, for instance, seems like a real dark horse and could potentially make it to the final. England needs to successfully get through the next two stages, assuming they can defeat Slovakia.
  7. Being a part of the Pride of Nottingham has boosted my confidence. There are so many members whose views on Notts matters I eagerly await. It certainly fosters a sense of community. When I joined as a young teenager, I mostly kept to myself. However, being invited to moderate was one of my proudest moments here.
  8. Curtis Edwards’ comments have been very positive. The more I hear and read about him, the more excited I become about his signing. He appears to be a strong player and his calm demeanour should complement his teammates like Matt Palmer well. Hopefully, Scott Robertson can also find some calmness with both of them around him.
  9. It’s going to be fantastic to see Matt Palmer back on the football pitch. He’s a crucial part of the squad and he deals with that pressure effortlessly. His composure and determination on the field are impressive, so it’s no surprise he’s managed during his injury. I reckon in his mind, he was still playing every ball he saw. That passion is just second nature to him. Congratulations, Matt Palmer on your engagement.
  10. Curtis Edwards is a competent player who has built his career abroad. His signing has taken me by surprise, but considering our ambitions and the peak of his career, it makes sense. Settling in Nottingham or returning to England seems like a logical step.
  11. I'm not saying this to be negative, as I think it's a superb signing. It might not be the most glamorous, but don't doubt for a second what he brings. He's a quality player and speaks very well. Once he puts on our shirt and gets a few games, those doubters should love him.
  12. He had a challenging time for a bit last season, and I hope we can press on and begin strongly. If this occurs, then hopefully those who criticise him based on his past or his previous role will shut up. I want to see Notts continue to progress, not decline because it suits some narrow-minded fans’ opinion of a person who genuinely needs time. We discussed how Ian Burchnall’s failure to end his season positively could be a learning experience. Stuart Maynard is doing just that, he won’t lead us to relegation. If the fans rally behind him, we might just achieve promotion again. The squad is much stronger, he’s had ample time to learn from last season, and I believe he will triumph.
  13. This is precisely the kind of signing we require, not solely due to his experience or the number of EFL matches he’s played, but also his stature and mindset. The club is doing a commendable job in introducing voices on the field, Rod McDonald will undoubtedly interact effectively with his colleagues. I believe it’s a splendid acquisition.
  14. It’s good to see a female jockey, it certainly provides a change from the petite men we usually see during the Grand National.
  15. The Reedtz have truly begun to revamp Meadow Lane, their efforts are making Notts fans proud and steering us back to the Football League. They are certainly not lacking in ambition. It’s wonderful to witness their investment and the tireless work that the ground staff are putting in. The club still has the vibe that it can achieve great things, so it’s an exhilarating time at the moment.
  16. Without a doubt, our pitch is among the finest in the English Football League. We’re truly lucky to have owners who are putting their resources in the right places. They’re supported by an amazing team of ground staff. These dedicated individuals work non-stop to ensure we have the best playing surface possible. It’s truly wonderful to witness!
  17. Performance is the main issue, with tactics being the key to getting more out of the squad. I doubt Gareth Southgate is telling his players to be this defensive; that seems unlikely. He needs to put in players who will work hard and play in their strongest positions. We need a quicker tempo, moving the ball further between players and avoiding making seven short passes only to lose possession. Holding onto the ball longer would be a blessing, and I don't mean passing backwards.
  18. For all the good things the Reedtz family continue to do, the least we can do is support the team and hope for a good start. I fully back Stuart Maynard; he's a nice guy, and I hope the stronger defence shows he can lead the club forward. Either way, I'm excited and looking forward to the season.
  19. A couple of years ago, there were whispers about him coming to us on loan. This will be Julian Larsson’s first proper stint at a club, and I personally believe he’ll do well with Burton. They have a solid history of getting relatively unknown signings to perform impressively for them.
  20. Hello, @Scotty. It's good to be welcoming you to the community here. Please continue to get involved with PON. It's part of the fun!
  21. Happy Birthday, @Fan of Big Tone! What have you got up to on your special day? I hope you’ve had the chance to celebrate with your family.
  22. England’s performance was underwhelming, and it seems their confidence dips when the game doesn’t go as expected. While the pitch conditions were subpar, it shouldn’t be an excuse; the Danish team managed just fine. They applied pressure well and disrupted our play. England must learn to adapt and counteract such tactics more swiftly.
  23. The club has put in a great deal of effort to recruit the right players to address a few areas we fell short in last season. With a nearly revamped defence, our strength in both attack and defence is quite exceptional. Many League Two teams would likely be envious of having Nick Tsaroulla, and we’re fortunate to have him on our side now.
  24. I’m curious to see how Bass will perform with better teammates and our squad’s depth. It might be too soon to talk about promotion, but these signings should really support Stuart Maynard in his role.
  25. Some points are valid, but they’re not entirely accurate. The claim that Southgate became too defensive with substitutions after scoring doesn’t add up. Did we become more defensive after the goal or after 15 minutes? Goals naturally change the game’s flow. The argument loses strength and comes off as a rant against Gareth Southgate rather than constructive criticism. It’s important to recognise that Southgate has played a key role in making England a strong international team again.
