  1. I have voted for Jacob Bedeau. I think he’s been in brilliant form over September, and it is deserved, I feel. I vote for him for this reason.
  2. The sensible decision for me is to name the player who used his ability and experience to try to make a difference to the overall performance, and that is David McGoldrick.
  3. Middlesbrough 4-0 Stoke City Millwall 1-1 Preston North End Blackpool 0-1 Burton Albion Wigan Athletic 1-2 Exeter City Gillingham 2-2 Barrow Newport County 0-3 Crewe Alexandra Joker Woking 3-2 Sutton United Yeovil Town 0-3 Aldershot
  4. Fantastic photos, gaffer. I agree! They are amazing.
  5. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Shannon Daly. It's good to be welcoming you to the site.
  6. It was a nightmare at times, the chances Notts had that just wouldn’t find the back of the net. Then Gillingham scored and the game started to fall apart. Notts played well. Sam Austin’s goal furthered the horrible dream-like feeling as I noticed nothing wrong and to see it disallowed is just crazy.
  7. Well done, Jacob Bedaeu. No complaints. Fans voted and it’s great to see PON name a player as their Man of the Match.
  8. It looked more than what was announced and shown on the squad, but who knows? Gillingham came in good numbers, the KOP was packed, Pavis looked full and the Family Stand had a good amount in too.
  9. I am pleased that Stuart Maynard spoke his mind because that shows character. Not just in the incident that saw him issued a yellow card but in his post-match comments. I hope fans continue to warm to him because he always gives a fair response and acknowledges us fans.
  10. I think we should have played Jevani Brown from the start. He might not have made much difference on goal, but there is every chance that he could have worked well with David McGoldrick. How poor at times was Didzy on the ball? He almost got us punished before Gillingham had scored. It wasn’t his best performance, and I feel it shows why he can’t play week in and week out. Although, we didn’t have many options, and it reinforces the belief that we need more support in the attacking department. I think our passing at times wasn’t all that good, which Gillingham capitalised on. I don’t think they were class, just a very good team that defensively hung onto a lead I don’t think they deserved. I do feel their goal was offside, but what can we do? There was no need for the Gillingham players to confront the assistant who later flagged Sam Austin’s goal as offside. The officiating was that poor, I wouldn’t blame people for thinking some sort of match-fixing was going on, but I don’t think it was that. I think the officials crumbled to everything Gillingham wanted and went against us when given the chance. Some odd calls throughout the game, but Austin’s goal was perfectly fine.
  11. He has done quite a few interviews, but all traces of his departure from Nottingham Forest have been erased over time. I do remember reading that the incoming manager had made quotes about him not being knowledgeable enough. He seems to be doing okay in his role at AFC Wimbledon. I do find him to be strange though.
  12. Jacob Bedeau was quality, by far the best defender and very good going forward. His performance seems to be getting overlooked. Not sure Matty Platt played any better, so I did find him being named as the Man of the Match by the sponsors to be a baffling decision. Bedeau and Dan Crowley were our best players. Alex Bass played very well, made some good saves, but Gillingham never really tested him. A lot of the saves were routine, but he commanded the area well.
  13. We all will be thinking the worst, but time will tell. I think Jodi Jones’ reactions seemed quite concerning, but even he will be thinking the worst. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious and that he can return after some time away, as I do think he will miss a few games.
  14. I’m happy for Ricardo Moniz. He deserves to be given long enough to make his mark known, and he seems to be doing very well. I think he’s a good coach and a decent manager that can get teams playing well.
  15. If we win today, some fans might get carried away, but most understand it's still early days, and Dan Crowley is right not to overthink it. We've got many matches left, and we all remember what happened last year. However, I believe we're stronger now. It would be a great achievement to be fighting for promotion, especially if we make it into the top three, but we’ll have to wait and see how things go.
  16. Luton Town 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield United 1-0 Derby County Bolton Wanderers 3-1 Reading Joker Peterborough United 2-1 Bristol Rovers Bradford City 0-2 AFC Wimbledon Salford City 1-0 Walsall Hartlepool United 0-2 Dagenham & Redbridge Oldham Athletic 3-2 Yeovil Town
  17. Good comments from Dan Crowley. He could easily be the captain. I am not suggesting he should be, as I like Matt Palmer in the role, but Crowley’s comments are those of a leader and someone who sees his importance to the side. It’s good he’s enjoying his football. I hope he manages to get double figures this season for us.
  18. None of them really caught my eye, but it was worth giving them a chance as you never know if you could unearth a gem.
  19. I have recently started a new job and will be starting at Nottingham University studying electrical engineering. My time might be a little less often on here or even with Notts, but I am excited.
  20. He was probably past his best when he ended up here, but it was good to have his name connected with the club, even in passing. He sounded like a true hero for Everton. Scoring 377 goals during a career is a huge amount of goals.
  21. Magpies are stunning birds, though it makes me laugh how often I’ve seen them pinching things, and not always ‘shiny’ ones. I haven’t heard what you mentioned before, @Wheelbarrow repair man. I find it very interesting. I didn’t know about the devil part; I would have thought crows were more like that with their creepy watching as a flock.
  22. It’s always a good sign seeing Notts setting records and beating past feats. It shows the club is heading in the right direction. I agree with others; maintaining an undefeated run makes you believe in promotion. If we can just keep going, who knows where we’ll be by Christmas? It would be great to see us actively competing for the championship.
  23. I think both teams would take a draw, but I don’t think either of us will settle for that until the referee blows the final whistle. I like the answers Steve and David have given. It’s good to see the thoughts of the Gillingham fans, and both seem to be on similar wavelengths, which gives us a clearer picture. It’s going to be a tough game, but I hope it’s entertaining with both teams trying to win it.
  24. Happy belated birthday @CliftonMagpie! I am sorry that I missed this yesterday, but I hope you had a good one.
  25. Great to see both players mentioned. It’s a good thing for Notts fans to see their talented players picked up in a team of the week consisting of all 72 clubs.
