Who is your Man of the Match v Northampton
I voted for Ryley Reynolds. I thought he looked sharp and decent.

Things lurking in the loft
I don’t have anything of mine hiding in the loft. My things are scattered all around my bedroom, probably under the bed or in the cupboard. ???? That’s a nice retro-looking scarf!

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Valiants (H)
The rating for doing arlight is a standard 6? Even though he didn't do much, it's that alone that comes across as being biased because he didn't do much at all. Nothing to leap any praise, if we voted people ratings based on being out of position so highly, for little to no involvement it just seems a bit unfair. His presence pretty much helped Port Vale's defence, he wasn't any sort of a threat. The single pass he mase, was worse than the one Josh Martin made which didn't go to his intended target. It broke down what was a promising attack, his flicking header, someone more natural would have tried to direct towards goal, instead of back without any awareness in hope someone in our colours would get onto it. The 4, I would give him reflects being played out of position. I'm not suggesting you dislike Josh Martin, but he was more involved in the game. Yes, he made mistakes but he also contribute somewhat to the game. It wasn't a great performance by him, but the rating of a 2 seems way to harsh. I would be interested to see Martin's stats from the game, as I don't think he was as bad as "2". Certainly, I wouldn't rate Cundy above him based on being played out of position.

Super Sam Austin
I don’t understand some of the negative and silly comments directed at Sam Austin on social media. Every season, there seems to be someone who gets targeted by negative fans or those always down. He’s a good player who, on his day, deserves to start and can help us get the right results. You can’t fault his focus or effort, he does a solid job, and that’s all I can ask.

Who is your Notts Man of the Match v Port Vale?
Well done to Dan Crowley; he definitely deserves to be named Pride of Nottingham’s Man of the Match. I hope we can get back to winning ways at Meadow Lane, but Crowley is a big part of our success.

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Valiants (H)
I think we needed a bit of magic. I thought Dan Crowley might save us, but it wasn’t to be. Port Vale aren’t better than Gillingham and aren’t as good as us as a footballing team. We did everything but score. If we’d taken one of the early chances, it might have changed things, but I still think a draw would have been fairer. There doesn’t seem to be much difference between the top half of League Two, but if we still had Macaulay Langstaff, we’d be a cut above the rest. He’s what we’re really missing, and I hope the club sees that. Jatta and David McGoldrick can score, but we can’t rely on them alone against strong defensive teams. @Super_Danny_Allsopp Does heading the ball and making one pass really put Robbie Cundy on the same level as others? I’m not sure about that. He wasn’t nearly as good as Matt Palmer, George Abbott, Kellan Gordon, Matty Platt, and Scott Robertson. I respect your opinion, but giving Josh Martin a 1 seems unfair and a bit biased. He did more than Cundy and just needs time and match sharpness. It was a tough game to bring him into. Cundy doesn’t deserve more than a 4.

Faces of PON 24-25: Port Vale (H)
It’s great to see all the smiles and groups of fans! It shows how the club has adapted and improved since our years in the National League. The Faces of PON is a big part of the community, and it’s brilliant to see the pictures. Great job, gaffer!

Stuart Maynard Laments Offside Decision in Port Vale’s Decisive Goal Against Notts County
I agree with Stuart Maynard, it was offside, and they played quite dirty throughout the game. The referee let a lot of their behaviour go, but you’ve got to feel sorry for Port Vale, they missed an open goal, tripped over their own feet, and had a tall squad who complained about being bullied by much smaller players they couldn’t handle. Notts did everything but score!

Match Report: Magpies’ Dominance Undone by Port Vale’s Clinical Counter
The result wasn’t what we deserved. I think a draw would have been fair, but if Port Vale had taken their only other clear chance, I don’t think we could have come back from that. We’re doing well though, with plenty of games and points still to be earned. I understand the disappointment, but let’s focus on the positives, we can work harder to score from the chances we did create. I still believe we can compete with the top three, so let’s make sure we get the maximum points against Chesterfield and keep pushing forward.

Match Report: Early Goals and Solid Defence See Notts County Defeat Carlisle United 2-0
Both halves were a switch in who controlled the game. I thought Carlisle actually made more of a game of it. They had a few good chances in the first half and came out strong in the second 45 minutes. Those goals proved to be the difference, but we hardly had a touch in their half once they took control. I don’t think we even managed to get a shot away. I think all our efforts came in the first half, which goes to show how important Alex Bass and our defending were.

Stuart Maynard Hails Notts County Fans as the '12th Man' in 2-0 Victory Over Carlisle United
I really want Stuart Maynard to continue the success of the club. He’s such a good guy, his heart’s clearly in the right place, and he’s doing what he can to make this squad successful. I think he’s doing everything right. For those fans who think we should be winning every time, cut the gaffer some slack because he’s improving as we progress.

Who's Your Notts Man of the Match v Carlisle?
I voted for Alex Bass. I would have worried if he wasn’t in goal. He’s such a talent at this level. He comes for everything and makes the right decisions 9 times out of 10.

MAGnets link - Carlisle United
We’ve already got some good names, but I’m sure there are plenty more. Come on, everyone, let’s see how many players we can name before the game tomorrow. Shaun Brisley ✅ François Zoko ✅ Lewis Alexandra ✅ Rod McDonald ✅ Kristian Dennis ✅ I believe one of our more recent long-serving players had a spell with them. Some deserve to be remembered as legends. He was heavily involved with the club during the Trew era and after his playing days.
