I think some will have this labelled as "I'll accept a draw", I would have myself but I don't know why, I feel we might be a side capable of surprising Swindon Town. When you look at each times form and then compare, well you would again side with Swindon but it's never plain sailing.

They've done extremely well against top sides, teams you would expect them to struggle against.

Against sides low down it becomes a little more surprising but teams which play as a tight unit actually get something against them. I wouldn't write ourselves off here and I wouldn't put it down as a draw either. I expect the game to be difficult, they will cause us trouble but I think if we are strong defensively, if we make sure Carroll is protected to the best of the players ability, I think we could score either on the break or from a set piece.

I just hope that a positive performance follows, grit and determination. If we're to get something we need to make sure we frustrate them and play a smart game going forward.

It's for us to spoil, it's for them to gain and handle the pressure which is mounting.

1-0 Notts! Goal by McLaughlin.

COME ON YOU PIES!!!

Thoughts? Score Predictions?

pinching a line from @tonyhateley , after the midweek loss I predicted against Donny Osmond, can I also predict a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Honda boys of Wiltshire

Swindon are a better side than us but we are at home. I think they will pass us off the park. 3-0 to them.

I'm a bit worried for both my sides this weekend.Notts are at home though and If the defense can keep on performing heroics should manage a draw at least.

@Dripsey3 tut tut, if you said we would win it would probably happen. dont you know we are supposed to agree with you? i dont think they will score 3 against us, its just not going to happen.

i dont think we will win, i see no reason why we cant draw tho.

if we was to win it would be by making the most of our chances because i dont see us getting many.

I think they have every chance of winning but never by 3 goals.

Its hard to judge notts going in to games like this, we have done very well against teams doing well and respectable results have came. This will most likely be a draw, i could see it ending 0-0.

Hope for a win, will take the draw.

If we play to how we know we can, I see us either drawing or taking the game.

I suppose it depends on if we can hang on and score first, I think we can.

Interesting calls so far, I wonder what is to follow in the next day + before the actual kick off.

It will be interesting to see Beckford, though Garner is the player who usually finds his way into punishing us. I think earlier in the season people thought they would thrash us, which didn't happen. We held our own and almost left with the points and if it wasn't for that pesky Garner we would have gotten a way with it!

If Cassidy scores he'll be considered godly for a few games. :P

Good evening Joe and all Magpies supporters,

Apologies Joe .... I could have logged in at any time but thought that I could not. I think age is taking its toll but I bet Super Ram and Tony are still razor sharp.

Enjoy the match on Saturday (but not too much I hope).

Best wishes,

Mickeyr

@medievalmickey I don't know about Super, when I was younger I was always finding his marbles on the floor!

@PTID1862 - Don't be silly, if he won't tell me, he won't tell anyone else.

It's not fair! :(

I will predict a draw.

Joe said on FB that Swindon are unlikely to play a player over the age of 23. @medievalmickey did you tell him that? Who is your oldest player at the club. I think someone might be right about experience. Young players can often go off the boil, so that will be Derrys job.

Tough un for Pies this weekend. I saw Swindon take apart Chesterfield 3-0 at Chessy & was really impressed with them, a draw would be a good result.

BTW, wish us (Millers) luck this weekend as we're at home to F***st!!!!

Yes it was me Brom Pie. It is probable that Andy Williams will play and he is around 27 I think. The oldest player at the club is Darren Ward but it is unlikely that he will ever pull on a first team shirt again.

Nathan Thompson has played more than 100 games and Wes Foderingham many more (I think).

I can't see us losing 3-0 like @Dripsey3 suggests, however I do think that Swindon will be too strong for us, I would be happier playing them away to be honest, I think the players are a little nervous at home because of the crowd's expectations.

I'll go for 1-0 to Swindon.

Me think we're in for a roasting. Unfortunately I wont be there (or maybe it will be fortunately if my prediction does come true!) I hope I'm wrong, but Swindon are a hard working, classy team. We are hard working, but tomorrow won't offer us the chance to grind out a result.

Time to roll the dice SD and play expansive football tomorrow. That or I expect a negative result.

I think they will be hard to beat but if we get a chance I can see us holding them off. It will be close! I hope we can get something from it to stay within touching distance of the playoffs.

We will probably be just outside after this game.

I think this will be one of the hardest matches of the season to be honest, I'd be happy to come away with any points, reckon we could definitely get at least a draw though, Swindon are one of the best teams in the league this year but I never rule out a win from our lot this year!
