Here are some pictures I supplied to @Dripsey3 for the Irish Magpies, they aren't the best but I did enjoy having a go. I hope to help the international pages, as they help me and content like this is a way for me to thank them. Please do head over to their page and give the album a like if you do, this will help the Irish Magpies further.

I am unsure if I will do this but pleased to have been given the chance, I also want to thank @Cobby who let me borrow his camera.

  2. Last game of the season coming up, they've managed to put together some impressive victories to remain in the top league. Injuries have set them back, whilst possible adapting to each other but I don't think it's been a bad season. Certainly I would write it off!

We have the chance to build a stronger team, compete with the top three teams and I think Ellen White will make a huge difference.

How do you feel the seasons gone? Hope for next year? Let's discuss this.

Here's Desiree Scott and Jess Clarke's thoughts.

  3. I'm just listening to Matchtalk on Radio Red and they are on about Derry is eager to form a new relationship with them across the river.

The two loan players are a testament to the fact that it seems to be benefitting both clubs and the players involved. Notts benefit from getting two class players that are improving the squad, Fword have the benefit of getting the players fit and getting more experience and the players benefit because they can get a competitive game at a club very close to their parent club do no travelling or moving home.

I think it's great and hope it continues. What do others think?

  4. Roy or Bart

    1. 1. Which do you prefer?

      • Roy
        11
      • Bart
        3

When Bart was rumoured to be leaving, I like many fans couldn't believe it. I highly rate Bart both for his football skills and for the way he was around the club. However, this was posted on PoN's page around the time of the Preston game - "Having seen Roy Carroll is anyone bothered that Bart left to go to Ipswich. were he appears to be 2nd choice to a gherkin. Is playing not important or has he gone to get free tractor driving lessons."

    Haha....

Interestingly I do keep hearing similar comments. I for one, I'm not bothered now but I am so pleased that we signed an experienced keeper.

So, simple question. Roy or Bart? In the words of Harry Hill... FIGHT! ;)

  5. After reading alot from Roy Keane this week (great beard Roy  :hairy:  :hairy:  :hairy: )

    Two part question.

One How many Notts players that have gone into management can you name?

Two Which players from the last 10 yrs to wear the bk and white could you see doing well in management and why?

  6. easy game for england? i think so, i think the score will be 1-0 but england will dominate.

  7. BBC Sport - Russell Slade: Cardiff target resigns as Leyton Orient ...

3 hours ago ... Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade, favourite for the vacant Cardiff City job, tenders his resignation as O's boss

    Can;t say I blame him!

  8. Some might recall this story breaking, a young lad "Jamie Parks" was told he was too small to be a left back. Instead of casting him aside, it was suggested that he moved into horse racing as a jockey. He did so, he's moved down to doncaster aiming to follow up on a new idol Hayley Turner.

This is a interview I just heard - This was broken by East Midlands news a little back but young lad is set to turn pro after his studies. :)

  9. This season Gillingham are proving themselves not to be push overs! (much like ourselves), they're a much better side than the one we saw last season. A lot of this goes down to the experienced "Paul Taylor" for me and he's got players like Danny Kedwell doing much better. Of course they also have Cody McDonald, both of which have scored four so far this season.

Notts will be thankful for the sterling defence we have this season, which I hope the two gills players will find hard to face.

That said, I do think we can beat them. If we can get the crowd going and the football flowing, I don't see why we can't beat them. I think the score could be 2-0, I at least hope big Roy keeps them out!

    Thoughts? Predictions?

  10. Admittedly I don't personally care about the JPT, win or lose. However, I do feel @Pies4u had a point about confidence - winning games certainly does that and I would really like to see our current run continue. Bringing three wins to Crawley would be massive, it would be something very positive for the club and we could do with this happening for aslong as possible.

The reason I don't care about the JPT is the fact nobody takes it seriously until a side reaches say the semi finals (perhaps before). Well, some smaller clubs might become excited before but the bigger teams don't respect it in my opinion.

It could do with being remodeled to regain serious interest.

This said, I can see us winning Scunthorpe and 1-2 would be my prediction.

They don't have a bad side in truth, of course they have "Neal Bishop" who is a gafter and perhaps one of the most underrated Notts players in recent years. Remember he wasn't good enough for Championship? Yet he had a good go there and settled in well due to the fact he gives 100%. They also have Paddy Madden (I won't go on about him), though I do admire him. Matt Sparrow is a pretty decent player, as is Gary McSheffrey and of course they Deon Burton.

Anyway I have piped on enough here, please do leave your views on this. I like reading about each stage, it's something I find to be cool.

    So, thoughts? Predictions?

  11. Love or hate him, this guy can make the most of intelligence - Perhaps not when it comes to managing a football side but he sure knows how to apply it in the media (provided he actually wrote his book).

Roy Keane: I didn't sign Robbie Savage for Sunderland because his voicemail said 'Hi, it's Robbie - whazzup!'

    • Keane reveals he didn't sign Robbie Savage for Sunderland because of his voicemail message
    • 'Whazzup' featured on the Budweiser advert in the early 2000s
    • At the time the Blackburn midfielder was struggling for playing time
    • Responding on Twitter, Savage said: 'Oh come on Roy whattttsuppppppppp !!!! Hahahaha'

I think Robbie's tweet was ever so funny! That's one thing I like about Robbie Savage, not much else I do mind.

Derry and Abbot have got a lot of things right, the current formation is impressive away from home (in terms of results) and it does suit our players. However, at home I don't think it does anything more than set us up for drawing. I am not a fan of a lone striker, so naturally if we use this I'd prefer to see support from the wide man. Yet Notts seem to slow down when we play teams who are either more dynamic, talented or faster. Orient for example pulled of the strings.

So what formation do you think would suite better? Which players would you choose?

Is anyone concerned that Cassidy isn't getting the service? Surely having Murray playing more closely would suit boths games?? Let's discuss this, naturally Derry will know better but this could be interesting to see opinions. I'd also give Jones a rest! He looked very tired the other night, however it didn't effect his game in my opinion.
  13. welcome @BromPie, hope you like pon and find time to join in. :)

A young footballer has been signed by Notts County youth academy.

Jenson Gracie has been signed by Notts County's youth academy

Jenson Gracie, 10, of Newark, impressed with his performances in the Magpies shadow squad.

The midfielder was invited to join the squad after Notts County saw him playing for Fernwood Foxes Whites, where he twice won the league and cup double.

His father, Jason Gracie, said: “His attitude is great. He gets his head down and he responds well to every challenge that is thrown at him.

“Notts County’s Academy keeps going until the under-17s so hopefully he has a good few years ahead of him.”

Fernwood Foxes coaches Simon Haywood and Martin Chapman said they wished Jenson all the best for the future.

Jenson joined RHP Colts under-11s Sunday team at the start of the season before signing for Notts County.

Garry Attwood, the coach at RHP, said he was thrilled to see Jenson rewarded for his hard work.

“For a player so young he’s got an excellent attitude to football and life in general,” he said

Jenson has played three games for the academy side, scoring his first goal in a 6-2 win over Lincoln City.

It's a nice piece of news here, it would be something to look back on say in 10 years time and say "this is where it began". Hope he goes far, certainly sounds promising.

  16. Bit of a laugh for a Monday morning. Those of you on Twitter may have seen the amusing banter between Notts County's official account and a Manchester United "fan" who had taken the micky.

Following the midweek win at Crewe, Notts tweeted a photo of the league 1 table with the caption: "The league table looks good", to which a Man Utd fan replied with "OMG 10th so good!".

But he got a bit more than he bargained for, with Notts' reply saying we're also not far behind MK Dons! The whole thing actually went on throughout Wednesday, it was pretty fun to watch the united fanboy in complete meltdown. They can dish it out, but they can't take it...

  17. Feel free to browse (in fact please do). If you know anyone tag them, I really enjoyed doing this. Our fans certainly know how to be lively, oh and please click "like". :)

  18. As this is a home game, thus I'll be attending and not in the chat room, I thought I'd start by prompting the "links" question that Pie in Shanghai always poses.

I threw Baudet into the mix for the Crewe game but I didn't see any other suggestions.

Anyway, just to start the ball rolling there are plenty of Notts/Gills links - clue: think goalkeepers (I can think of at least 3) - but I'll chuck in Mick Galloway as a "starter for 10" before PinS gets to you on Sat. Not trying to steal his thunder, merely trying to promote the thinking process and stimulate interest. Sometimes there are only a couple of us "playing" but it's a laugh and it fills the commentary void on occasions!

    Go..................

  19. What was the latest film you went to see at the cinema folks?

We've taken our youngest out as a treat, she's doing so well with speaking now. She wanted to see The BoxTrolls! [emoji6]

    Anyone seen it?

Join in folks, let us know.

  20. Hello U-Pies!

Knowing that Notts isn't getting through one of the best times of it's life....

I would like to organize a fund raising in Romania for this special club.

Unfortunately this is the first time I am dealing with this...

For starters I was thinking to manage a free web/blog address to do that.Is there anybody around to help me with that?

    Thanks!

Sadly my microphone was playing up today, so not all of the interviews could be used :( I'm sorry if you were interviewed but aren't in the video, but come back next home game is you still want to be involved.
