As well as being the biggest sponsorship deal in the clubรขโฌโขs 153-year illustrious history, the agreement is hoped to be the beginning of a new partnership between the two brands with Ladbrokes looking to open a retail outlet at Meadow Lane.

It's being reported that our cult hero (was he a cult hero for us?) is being heavily linked with several League One teams and is set to leave, now this isn't news to me. I had been told very early on, that Bajner wanted to play above League Two and that he was set to refuse signing a new contract.
No major disappointment but I do feel he could have done very well within the basement of English football.
It means we require two strikers however, both of which need to be strong and able to score goals. If I was Moniz I would have tried convincing Bajner his future was at our club and a short stint in League Two would have done him the world of good but as it stands, it seems Oldham or another club will snap him up.

A masters student in sports performance analysis at the University of Chichester, 22-year-old Craig has contributed a huge amount of work during his time as part of the backroom staff at Whaddon Road over the past two seasons.

His duties included filming matches and training sessions, allowing the manager to show key moments during pre-match meetings and half-time discussions, compiling information on forthcoming opponents and preparing motivational videos to be played before games.

England played to contain France and it almost worked. England will beat Mexico and Colombia to finish 2nd and a potential game against Norway in the last 16.

Thanks to the Football League being inconsiderate so and so's and messing all the kick off times around, this final around is going to consist of NINE matches instead of your usual six, just to make it a tad more interesting.
The final games in the championship are all 12:15 kick offs on Saturday, and then league two is 15:00 Saturday (like it all should be!), so there will be three championship games and three league two games from Saturday.
Then obviously our league finished Sunday so there will be a further three games on Sunday. Good luck!

HSBC has said that it plans to cut thousands of jobs in the UK and up to 25,000 posts worldwide by the end of 2017, as Europeรขโฌโขs largest bank refocuses on faster-growing Asian markets.

Sky News City Editor Mark Kleinman said HSBC would not disclose the precise number of job cuts in the UK but bank insiders said the figure in its home market would be between "7,000 to 8,000".

Sky News first revealed last week that major job cuts were on HSBC's agenda.
ย
The bank has 47,500 UK-based employees and around 266,000 workers globally.
ย
In an update to investors, HSBC said it would cut between 22,000 and 25,000 full-time equivalent roles during the next two-and-a-half years, although, with reinvestment taken into account, the net jobs reduction will be in the region of 20,000, according to insiders.

The bank also raised the prospect of significant branch closures in the UK, telling investors that it was targeting a 12% reduction in branch numbers across its top seven markets.

In the UK, HSBC operates just over 1,050 branches, with 20 closures already taking place this year and 20 more in the pipeline.

Sources said the 12% target was not an average across the top seven countries and refused to say how many branches might close in the UK.

In a renewed effort to simplify HSBC and address the poor returns at its investment bank, Stuart Gulliver, the chief executive, said he was targeting $5bn in cost-savings by the end of 2017.

HSBC also confirmed it was looking to sell its business in Turkey and the bulk of its Brazilian operations.

Headquartered in the UK since the early 1990s, HSBC said that a review of whether to relocate would be completed by the end of the year.

The issue of HSBCรขโฌโขs domicile has been thrown sharply into focus by a sudden pre-Election hike in the Bank Levy, which imposes a charge on the global balance sheets of UK-based lenders.
ย
HSBC pays by far the largest sum towards the levy, prompting complaints from major investors that it has eroded Mr Gulliverรขโฌโขs ability to continue a progressive dividend policy.
ย
The bank said on Tuesday that factors including tax environment, the scale of its existing presence, long-term stability and government policy รขโฌลin support of growth and development of financial services sectorรขโฌ would all influence its decision on whether to relocate.
ย
The bank declined to comment on the range of alternative locations under consideration, although Hong Kong - where it was headquartered between 1865 and its move to London - is widely seen as the likeliest destination.

HSBC also declined to say whether it was planning to spin off its UK retail operations, which Mr Gulliver has hinted may be considered because of new laws forcing universal banking groups to separate their retail and investment banking arms.

Earlier this year, HSBC said it would move the head office of its UK ring-fenced arm from London to Birmingham, raising speculation that it may rebrand the high street branch network under the Midland name it acquired nearly 25 years ago.

The group appeared to reinforce that speculation in its investor presentation, leaving HSBCรขโฌโขs name absent from a slide detailing plans for the UK operations.

While investors have largely backed his strategy of simplifying HSBC's structure, the journey under Mr Gulliverรขโฌโขs leadership has been bumpy, with fines for misconduct dating back to the period before he took over totalling billions of pounds.

It continues to face sizeable penalties from US authorities for attempting to manipulate foreign exchange markets, while a number of regulators continue to probe the Swiss tax evasion scandal which re-emerged earlier this year.

It's 80 years since the driving test became compulsory.
If you've taken a test did how many attempts did you take to pass? How many lessons did you have?
I passed first time but had to have lots of lessons, around 50 if memory serves me right. I had just met Mrs. H. and her last boyfriend had a car so I was determined to get one so I could taker out.
I was very nervous on my first lessons, I went to a driving school on Arkwright Street, the instructor used to take me down the Trent Embankment and even at 20 mph I was shaking like a leaf, I remember my instructor being very hard on me and telling me to get a grip on myself or I would never be able to drive.
When the day if the test finally came I was a lot more proficient although very nervous on the day, when the instructor told me I had passed I could have kissed him.

Do you remain signed in when visiting PON?
I've wondered this a fair bit, as @super_ram always signs out no matter what. As I have been a member of numerous communities, I find that I very rarely do myself.
The only times I seem to remember is when I am doing changes to this site, I never log out of FB or anything like that.
So, what is your habit? Do you stay signed into PON? If so/not why?

I didn't run a voting poll for this month folks, I decided to select it quietly and although I do enjoy seeing the community decide who deserves it the most (as this seems fair), I just felt that the decision would be best handled this way - at least for this month.
I'm pleased to see despite it being quiet around Notts and here, people are still visiting regularly + joining in when they can.
So, thank you for all your contributions, as always it's genuinely appreciated.
Also, I won't be posting any special mentions because this month it's been all about the community. By this I mean the regulars who visit and join in, even those with limited time for contributing. When you run any site, it's vital to see input from a wide range of people and we do have this here. It has been in the air for a while at meadow lane about ultras wanting to be there and i personnely think it is time we have them. Not ones that start fights and flair and HUGE flags, but clean ones who bring drums, a flag , have their own section and get the atmosphere going?
