I felt a bit bored and was struggling to find something to watch. I looked through my options and noticed a TV show called 'From'. I put it on without much hope, but I felt intrigued by the fact people had to get in before it went dark.

It's quite good. I actually really enjoyed the first two episodes.

It reminds me of a spookier version of Jericho. It's quite well-written, written, and leaves you wondering why the town/village is having the supernatural.

Anyone else seen it?

i prefer more realistic drama based shows myself.

It becomes more story-based after the 2nd episode. It's a bit like Under the Dome too.

I enjoy horror, but I’ll need to check with my parents first. They’ve allowed me to watch shows like The American Horror Story and The Walking Dead.”

When I saw the title, I thought it would be about Black Mirror. If you haven't seen it yet, you should. Right now.

@Fan of Big Tone I'm enjoying it so far; it depends on how you like your horror, but the suspense and story ark is quite interesting. Little clues crop up, yet you still have no idea what is causing the strangeness.

I’m not keen on blood, gore and violence but I don’t mind suspense.

There's quite a bit of blood and gore, but you can skip it without causing issues to the story.

Black Mirror or From?

I think it depends on the taste of it, I don't mind a lot of blood and gore myself but it needs to be convincing. Not for the sake of it.

I haven’t yet seen From either, but I will give it a watch. I don’t like many horror films from recent years but the television genre for horror tends to be much better. Probably due to needing the viewership and the lesser budget, it means people are less likely to waste it in my opinion.

Yes Liam, but it generally freaks me out because i replay it all in my head for months if not years. Strange i know but i have an overactive imagination.

“From” is a very good series. Is the UK only just getting the first season? I won’t spoil it, but it’s made by some of the same people as “Lost”. There’s only blood and gore at times; in the first two episodes, it’s more to drum home that it’s a dangerous place. There’s more cutting away and incidents happening off-screen much later on. The first season is very good; the second is okay, but they don’t answer many questions. The third needs to start doing this; otherwise, it could end up like Jericho and be cut shorter than hoped for.

I watched the first episode and thought it was quite good. It seems to be one of those shows that gets better as it progresses. I like the idea of the creatures and the need to go indoors before they come out.

I haven’t started watching it yet so no spoilers please. @AmericanPie says it’s the same people who made Lost and I really enjoyed that so looking forward to seeing it.

You haven’t seen it yet, but you plan to give it a watch. You think the show sounds interesting and it seems like something that would be right up your alley. You love horror as a genre and TV series tend to do much better with the amount of time they have to develop the show, rather than a film with heaps of jump scares and silly nonsensical plots.

I haven’t seen this yet, but I will give it a watch. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Lost. It was okay to begin with but then became unbearable with each plot twist. The story progression for each character started getting muddled up too.

Just watched the first two episodes of this and although it does have some blood and gore, I quite enjoyed it (not the blood and gore), it’s different and leaves you wondering what’s coming next, the rest of the episodes are on catch up so I’ll probably carry on with it for now and see how it goes. Mrs. Big Tone is not too keen on the gore but she looks away.

@Fan of Big Tone Now that you know what to expect and have watched the first two episodes, you will enjoy the rest even more. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open. Although not much is given away, you will learn things if you pay attention. When you reach episode 6, let me know. You’ll have a few good episodes to enjoy until then.
