York City always looked certain to be one of the teams that would struggle. If I were their chairman, I would have given the manager longer and put my faith in his ability to keep the club clear of relegation eventually.

It’s early for managers to be leaving clubs, but that’s just how it is. Football is a bit of a joke when it comes to wanting success but believing it comes instantly or after a few games. There’s no forward thinking for long-term solutions. Imagine if the Reedtz brothers weren’t owners. Would any of our previous owners have sacked Luke Williams for our opening day defeat? I hope not, but that’s what football has become. Thank goodness we have sensible owners.

Another sacked for whatever reason, right at the start of a season.

I would think Neal Ardley would be in for a good shout.

I believe he's taking time away from football right now, so I don't really see Neal Ardley coming back to management any time soon. I think he would do a better job with a Eastleigh than a York City though.

Madness, 6 games in, I know they've invested quite a bit in their squad but things take time to click.

Yeah, I agree with @Chris Eastleigh makes more sense to me given he's London based. Enzio and McDonnell there too, a bit of a reunion maybe?

York City? Average team, they are always going to struggle with competing in the National League without some much-needed investment into the club.

york city have a lot to do to regain their football league status, how long have they been out of the league? i remember them in fifa 17 i think. the clubs just not looked a team that can compete with the bigger teams falling down. i am not surprised to see their manager go but i think clubs should give more time.
