Too true. They had that gameplan in my mind from the first kick

Plus now their fans are being pathetic, thuggish team. They've gone right down in my opinion, horrible club and poxy fans who throw child abuse after losing a game. Their tactics are not fit for football these days, that wasn't the only bad challenge on Grealish.

They obviously had Grealish down as a danger man and decided to take him out, the thing is the blame has to lie with the ref by allowing it to happen. He should have protected Grealish from this sort of treatment by punishing the players concerned, if he had flourished a few cards it would have stopped them.

Their play put several challenges like that in, two clear sendings off and he walked a way on a yellow. Disgusting tactics but a mob of useless thugs! What else can you expect from Westley?

True. Westley has never been on my favs list. Whenever we change managers (which is quite frequently!) he never appears on my radar. I wonder why?

Watching that clip really gets my gander up

Sometimes I feel we need an enforcer character in the team, Bish could do it, I also remember Brian Stubbs and Rachid Harkouk could put a bit of fear in the opponents. If we're not getting protected by the authorities for tackles like that one and the Liddle one, and if we're not able to complain to the FA retrospectively, then we have to start defending our own. No?

Absolutely disgusting tackle, their lad deserves a hefty fine and ban for that. He clearly has absolutely no intentions of going for the ball, his only aim is to hurt the player. You should never go out trying to hurt a fellow professional. Typical Graham Westley tactics, hope they go down. Non-league club with a non-league fanbase, non-league players playing at a non-league stadium.

thats reckless, did he get booked for that one? stupid challenge

Notts have never been a physical side, he only really does reasonably well with sides who he instruct his players to bully and intimidate others. Thank **ck we have not taken him on!

Yeah, the ball is irrelevant, he lets it go past and smashes into our Jack. no.gif

I bet it has nothing to do with JCR's tackle on Scott Laird, eh?

I have to say though, games like that yesterday are where you want someone like Bish - an enforcer, who will have a bit back. We don't want to be seen as a soft touch, but getting the result is ultimatly the perfect response :)

That's a good point about the points @weymouthPIE, he who laughs last... and all that. Very happy about the result but still, it was a nasty and cynical challenge.

@liampie - was it the thug Heslop? Maybe @notts-joe saw if he got a card for that challenge (or whether it was for One of the other challenges *sigh*). You can see the ref has a good view of this one in the clip, he obviously thought it wasn't worth a red card !!!!

I believe he didn't, not even a word from the ref if I recall correctly.

Thanks, joe. Super poor reffing this season, but why do we always seem to be on the wrong end of it?

Surely the title of this thread, should read, Westley TicTacs. He is the biggest contributor to NON football, I can remember.

A real arse, with a footballing philosophy stuck in the dark days. Would personally love to see him out of the game.

What makes it worse is that their fans think it's acceptable to play like that. Hope they go down to be honest, tin pot club with no fans.

Yeah, I got annoyed and gave my thoughts. Then idiots on their crap bulletin board had the cheek to say I didn't go, along with we was the cheats. Supposedly our fans caused trouble, Jack kicked off at the end (which seems to me he was responding to something being said).

They're a very minor side, I had better hopes to perfectly honest.

That's some picture. Footballers in them days were quite a different beast to some of today's show ponies weren't they? Is that Steve Perryman behind Mackay?

I think it's safe to say that Jack Grealish would get far less bother with either of those dudes in our team!

I think the other player is Terry venables @Nesh.

Bremner must have had a death wish, kicking the leg that Dave Mackay had broken twice, but then that's how Leeds played.

:Oh yeah, of course it is! Doh! He was hefty, eh? I read the article about Mackay's twice broken leg.. ugh! I did tib/fib myself playing park footie in my twenties, hurt like hell  :)  Mackay must have been ballsy as anything going back after the first time. Still surprised how well conditioned the players look in that pic, given the revelations in Steak Diana Ross an all!

Hard men,yes-Norman Hunter,Nobby Stiles,Ron Harris etc,but they could play football too and if they overstepped the mark  there seemed to be better refereeing to deal with them.
