Throwing beer about at The Nest

Featured Replies

I’ve just watched a video of fans celebrating the England goal in the nest, it seems the latest fad is to chuck your beer up in the air. I’d have thought the price they pay for it they wouldn’t want to throw it away or is the beer that bad?

I’m glad I wasn’t there, I don’t fancy getting a beer shampoo.Β :biggrin:

@Fan of Big Tone

Elation And Relief I Shouldn't Wonder,Β  just the Spur of the Moment Thing. But You Know the way the Gutter Press react Now Days. Seeing something like that they'll Build It Up Into Something It Wasn't.

It happens at rock gigs too; it's something which peeves me off.

Although, I do find it more acceptable at a football game as you are responding to something and celebrating - not just being an idiot in an attempt to soak someone. I think when people first did it, it was far more natural. Whereas these days, people seem to put a lot of effort into looking good whilst doing it.

Just like how average goalkeepers make stunning saves solely for the cameras. ????

Rock City’s floor has been drenched in assorted beers and beverages for years, something we wouldn’t want at our swanky fan zone! That being said, my drink would have certainly taken flight when England scored the winning goal.

Emotions run high in those situations. But, for me, I see it as a waste of beer. Live by the saying "Drink Responsibly, Don't Spill It". Good for The Nest because those who chucked beer will go back up to get another.Β

@thommoΒ I remember when I turned 18 that whenever you went Rock City you never went with brand new trainers or white trainers cause they'll be wrecked by the floor. Not to mention walking on the floor works your muscles as you have to battle with the sticky floorΒ ????

Imagine if it rained beer instead of water. Some people might have problems, but for those who can handle it responsibly, it would be paradise. It’s quite common these days to throw beer, though I doubt it would happen before a Notts game.

hey, its win win for the club because it means more people paying for their beer supply. that is extra ££££. i am surprised that they dont make the most of reshowing clips, just as the final orders are coming in. ????

If you’re planning to visit The Nest for one of these premium events, don’t forget to bring a collapsible umbrella. Be prepared to open it at a moment’s notice, especially when a goal seems imminent. But if you’re attending an England game, there’s no need to worry. The chances of needing an umbrella are quite low. Of course, I’m only jesting. After all, who wants to resemble Steve McLaren watching an England match?

Notts might need to adopt a personalised approach with their cups, similar to what Starbucks and Costa do. This could involve intentionally writing incorrect names on people’s cups. It’s a quirky practice that adds a touch of humour and individuality to each cup.

I wouldn't worry about the floor, I doubt they've fitted a carpet ????

Maybe I'm just tight, but when a goal is scored the first thing I do is make sure my precious pint is safe and sound!Β
