Macca's Millwall are playing Forest in a preseason friendly in Spain tonight.

Macca is not in Millwall's starting 11 but is one of their substitutes.

Will keep an eye on his progress.

Macca on for the last 20 minutes of the match against Forest.

Let's see if he can make a difference for Millwall who are 0:2 down at the moment.

I believe they will gradually bring him into the team. He received a warm welcome and a lot of attention, suggesting that he was signed with the intention of becoming their new star striker. I wish him all the best. It would be great if he could come on as a substitute and score against Forest.

So a 20 minute run out for Macca, Millwall scored a goal after Macca came on but lost 1:2.

Hard to tell if Macca is going to get some regular playing time in his new team. Hope he won't be warming the subs bench match after match.

Will the grass be greener for Macca at Millwall? We will have to see.

@Robbie

That is the Main Problem Macca is going to have, establishing himself as Regular Starter for Millwall, and the way he'll Do That is by Scoring Goals. However if Millwall want Macca to Score Goals (and that's why they bought him) They are going to have to Play to his Strengths. How many times in the Past have we seen Strikers arrive with a Fanfare at a New Club only to Fail Miserably because his New Team didn't Play to his Strengths. Maybe It was Part of the Deal, that if Macca failed at Millwall, Notts Could Buy Him Back?

@Wheelbarrow repair man

We know Macca is a very good striker at league 2 level. He has to try to prove himself at Championship level.

We have to remember that Macca had excellent players around him that could supply him with those opportunities to score, Jodi, Dan, Aaron, John, Didzy, & Ruben all played their part to set up Macca, & Macca did the rest.

Will Macca get the supply he needs to impress at Millwall? The jury is out on that one.

@Robbie

You're Not Wrong regarding the Fact that Macca had many talented Players around him at Notts. And that is what Millwall need to Do, Feed Him and the Goals will Come. The thing is will Macca's new Club change their style of play just for him? Macca I think we have to Adapt to their Style and that may take time, and if he Doesn't Perform well how long will it be before the Fans start getting on his Back?

I know Macca says he Doesn't Set Himself Goal Targets  during a Season. The thing is will the Lions Head Coach expect a certain amount of Goals from Him? I think as a bare Minimum they'll expect him to get into Double Figures and look to him getting 15-20 goals all Told. I really hope Macca succeeds but Only Time Will Tell.

@Wheelbarrow repair man I'm not sure that they see Macca as their number one striker at the moment.

Just 20 minutes game time tonight against Forest tells me that others are in front of him in the pecking order.

How many times have we seen a bigger club sign a lower league player with a good reputation only to stick him on the bench, then loan him out.

I really do hope that doesn't happen to Macca.

If that is the Case @Robbie, I don't understand why they bought him. Why pay money for a Player with Macca's Goal Scoring Talent only to leave him on The Bench. Loan him Out? Now there's an Idea, if he's not doing well at the Den. They can always loan back out to Notts, where he'll score Goals and Get his Confidence Back.

Trouble is nowadays, it is a squad game. Notts have brought in players themselves during this transfer window that will be squad players, unless they can prove that they deserve to be in the starting 11.

It will be probably the same at Millwall. Macca has to prove himself, but 20 minutes isn't a good start for him. I was expecting him to play at least 45 minutes.

Came on for the last 20 minutes and never touched the ball appears to be the general consensus amongst their fans, not a good start.

It’s a tough friendly. Forest is a huge challenge due to the amount of money and talent they have invested since gaining promotion to the Premier League. Millwall is fortunate to be a Championship team, as they’re more of a lower-half upper League One team. Their defence will be a bigger issue than seeing Macaulay Langstaff score.

Macca was just rated as five when he came on against Forest. He needs to be in the starting line up if he is going to impress.

he cant really be judged in 20 minutes, he needs time to settle and i bet millwall did not create much for him. for 70 minutes, someone else played as a striker for them, i wonder what they did.

Macca played around 60 minutes and was in the starting lineup for Millwall this morning against Real Mercia in Spain. Millwall won the match 2:1 Macca was substituted after 60 minutes.

Still waiting for Macca's first goal for Millwall.

Friendlies are like this for new strikers stepping up. It seems Millwall are focusing on integrating him into the first team. Once he's on the same level as his teammates and they create chances for him, he'll score.

I don't think anyone should write him off; pre-season will be more about him getting to speed with his new teammates. Certainly, 20 minutes isn't enough for a striker to make an impact in a difficult game against a much larger side.

Once Langstaff scores, he'll get that knack for finding the net more often. He might not score twenty goals, but I firmly believe he can score a decent amount.

It's down to Millwall to be creative enough to get the best out of him.

Macca didn't feature in the starting eleven again to face Southampton this afternoon and wasn't used as a substitute.

Looks like he won't be starting in their first league match, what a waste,

Loan him back to Notts for the season please.

That would be the dream @Robbie! And then he leaves Millwall at the end of the season by mutual consent and re-signs for us!

Millwall's long ball style might not suit Macaulay Langstaff.

Will Macca be able to fit into the Millwall long ball style?

This pundit has his doubts👇

That's very strange.

Can't remember Notts mentioning that he had an injury that would impact his training & start of the season.

In fact we saw Macca report for training several weeks ago with the other team members

If he was injured, how did he pass his medical with flying colours?
