I'm hopeful that even if Notts do suffer the drop they will stick with Derry & Abbott and rebuild the club for a serious attempt to 'do a Cardiff' and storm through the league

but

if that didn't happen

if Notts suffered a drop into the Conference

would you still support them?

If not, where would you go to get your fix? Be honest, would it be the City Ground?

Who do you regard as a club you might support if there was no Notts and travel was no object?

In a way I suppose this is two questions.

I'd stick with Notts no matter what, I support the club through the history it's shared with my family. Leagues for me don't change this, I would suspect that our fan base would become much thinner if we drop to league 2 but if we do well, those who stay away will soon return. I don't see us dropping below League 2, I still believe we have enough to stay up and Derry's been a real driving force so far.

However, if we do go down. Derry and Abbott need to see the season out, even if the worst happens and we find ourselves in another relegation scrap. We need to get our footing back and avoid rushing things.

With regards to other clubs, I wouldn't. If Notts wasn't to exist anymore. I suppose I might consider following a local club but I'd never drop support for NCFC.

Would you?

I'm resigned to life in League 2 next season. I'll be depressed but I'll still support the club of course. If Notts were no longer around, I'd support Barnet I guess. My cousin follows them and I have been to a few of their games.

I'm County til I die! I most certainly would not go across the Trent. Would sooner drown in it, than cross it!

It think anyone who has supported for more than 10 years can safely say they'll stick with Notts. We've been through worse than this in recent memory. Christ we've employed Steve 'dont call me Shirley'Thompson twice so it doesn't get much worse than that!

If Notts werent around I would stop watching football I think. NEVER cross the river.

As my signature says I have supported Notts for over 50 years, I've already seen them in the basement division so it's nothing new to me, I would NEVER, EVER support those that shall be nameless, if Notts dropped to the conference I would still turn up. If they went out of existence I would probably support another local team, Eastwood maybe if they survive their current crisis or even Mansfailed/Chesterfailed I have friends who support both those teams. Derby is another possibility. I don't think I'd get a season ticket though just go as and when I felt like it.

Agreed with @magpie c

I have been a fan for a long time, this does not change! If we played park football, i would still support the club.

If Notts ended up in the conference I'd still go down no sweat. If (heaven forbid) Notts died I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go to the temple of sin even tho I spent 2 1/2 seasons or so escorting my kid sister to florest games (see confessions thread). I'd probably go and watch the local american football team play at Harvey Hadden. Next season will be my 50th year supporting Notts.

Daft question, course I'd stick by the club. It's during the tough times such as this season you find out who the true supporters are. Anyone can support their club when everything's rosy and they're top of  the league, but to stay loyal when your getting beat every week is difficult, but we stick through it. And when you've been through the tough times, you appreciate the good times even more.

Why can't you just us have the players you don't need? Why sell to competition after all we've done for you? ;)

You have a point. After today's result, I am surprised how many have reverted to "we're down". This is on the social pages where fans remind our club just how good they think we are!

I will always support Notts but I fear for their future survival if the team across the Trent gets promotion. It'll be hard to attract new supporters when the likes of Man City, Chelsea etc are on show over there!!
