A draw for Notts today & a clean sheet. Notts had a few chances but couldn't put them away.

The eleven players that started the game for Notts are on the list for you to choose your PON Man of the Match today.

The players are:-

Slocombe, Gordon, Bedeau, Platt, Grant, Whittaker, McGoldrick, Palmer, Macari, Abbott, Jarvis.

Please choose your man & let us know why you chose that person.

Jarvis for me. I like that he is willing to carry the ball to try to break through the defensive lines.

My shortlist for Man of the Match are Jacob Bedeau, Matty Platt, David McGoldrick, & Will Jarvis.

Defensively Notts were sound & that was down to Jacob & Matty. Up front David McGoldrick was his usual self, working hard, & I believe Will Jarvis had his best match for Notts.

On this occasion I'm going to go for Will Jarvis as my Man of the Match & I would like him to be selected on the left for the rest of the season.

Charlie Whitaker and Will Jarvis both had some really good moments and helped create chances. Jarvis seemed a bit more driven to take chances or set them up for goal. David McGoldrick was outstanding, but Jarvis edges it for me.

I agree that the players mentioned had decent games, but I think we were much better defensively than we were in an attack yesterday. Slocombe wasn’t really tested but the back three were solid to be honest, Platt probably edges it for me cos he constantly won a lot of headers.

I would choose Will Jarvis, but I was tempted to vote for David McGoldrick, who was excellent at finding positions and transitioning to take shots. Jarvis appeared more committed to playing as part of the team. @menzinho Jacob Bedeau, I can't imagine anyone voting for him. I thought yesterday was his poorest performance for Notts. He made too many mistakes and fouls, not great, but slightly better than average overall.

That's fair enough @allardyces tash I like how everyone sees the the match so differently, I seem to be in the minority though so maybe I'm wrong! But for me I thought Bedeau, from a defensive point was pretty good. Some of the fouls awarded against him were harsh, but he was part of a defence that limited Crewe to just the 4 shots yesterday.

from start to finish i thought matt palmer was class, some of his passing was brilliant and more so the balls which cut through the crewe defence. he played a blinder which was pin point to david mcgoldrick who unfortunately was not able to control the ball, but had he done he would have been clean through to have a chance in the first 20 minutes against their keeper. i wished we had tested them more, filip marshall did not look the best but i really do feel palmer did a lot of positives yesterday.

I don't think David McGoldrick deserved Man of the Match. Even he seemed to disagree, shaking his head at the decision. Will Jarvis was quiet in the first half, almost unnoticeable, but much better in the second half. Charlie Whitaker was excellent until he was subbed off, which was a puzzling decision. Whitaker would be my pick for Man of the Match.

Will Jarvis gets my vote. I thought he showed real class in taking on players and getting shots off. David McGoldrick also played well and took it upon himself to try to break the deadlock. However, I felt Jarvis played as though he was sending a message to Stuart Maynard. If we can see performances like this from him regularly, he could be vital in the race for the play-offs or automatic promotion.

David McGoldrick didn't put a foot wrong, and I agree with LifeLine that he deserved Man of the Match. While he might not be happy about missing his chances and may feel others deserved it more, he gets my vote for putting in 100% effort and creating most of the exciting moments in the game.

Having Will Jarvis fired up like he played against Crewe is very much deserving of the Man of the Match. I am hoping we can get that drive and forward-thinking from him on a consistent basis as he settles in more.
