Notts County have brought in another highly-rated youngster on loan from a Championship side...

A busy week of transfers has continued for Notts County, with Bolton Wanderers full-back Hayden White the latest addition to Shaun Derry’s squad.

Despite still being only 19, White has already made five first team appearances for Sky Bet Championship side Bolton, as well as spending time out on loan with both Carlisle United and Bury earlier this season.

The highly-rated youngster, who came through the youth ranks at Sheffield Wednesday before signing for Bolton, has signed on a youth loan deal until the end of the season and will provide competition to Mustapha Dumbuya for the right-back berth during his time at Meadow Lane.

Anyone notice that all the young players actually like 'footballers', previous managers tended to pick up players who looked very lightweight and very few really bedded in well. I am starting to see that Derry is ticking boxes from multiple areas.

I will reserve further comments until I see him.

However, I will add that he does look promising. I wonder what Bury made of him? If they didn't rate him, remember when you experience and a different squad that is all it takes to see things click.

Let him prove himself I say.

Its nice to another key area added with a player, just remember Titus Bramble.

Looks like a good cover signing. Just wish SD would replace Hollis now!

Hopefully another piece in the jigsaw.

If it's a position we need cover for, then I'm all for it.  We all know how injury prone Muzzy is.  It's just a shame that when he isn't injured he doesn't run at the opposition more.  There were a number of times at Crewe where he went for it, and he scared their defense silly!

It's good to see Ray is backing Shaun this transfer window, when he could have just tried to reduce the wage bill and leave it at that!

What's my dad doing signed in as Tony? :o:rolleyes:

Supposedly he used to be a winger, he looks pretty useful on paper. Lets see what he can do tomorrow!

i noticed some fans discussing he will be good because of fm15 and his rating, mainly because a certain joe had mentioned it.

its so funny!

if he starts tonight, hope people will report back on him and then we can see how it goes. i am glad about the signing because dumbuya is prone to injury and although we have cranston he offers us back up there. watch derry start him in the middle!

It might allow us to try Dumbuya in midfield.

He could bring a bit of excitement going forward, without leaving us open at the back. Fans have been suggesting this for awhile, including myself. Ever since he put the ball in for Spencer was it? That floating cross. ;)

FM often says players can play where they don't or can't @liampie.

I guess this means Derry doesn't rate Dixon/Thompson as cover for RB.

Don't tell me you do?!?

Dixon is a decent player, quite lightweight and anyway he is out on loan. The fans have been complaining about Thompson playing at right for ages, so why tempt him to resort back to using him there.

Good signing, sensible one.

Not Thompson, no. Pre-injury I thought Dixon looked good and I read Derry saw him as a RB, not seen him since his injury though.

Did anyone hear Dean Yates comments, I think David Jackson also said concerning remarks about him being 'bad'.

Supposedly a failed winger.
