We just signed a young un called Kaiyne Wollery on a months loan from Bolton

Do we really need another young striker?

Posted

I will take him, sounds promising. Thomas and Wollery won't be on a lot, so I have no worries.

I don't believe we do but I can see what Derry is doing. However I do feel we are lacking in important areas, none the less it doesn't take the shine off this.

He attracted interest from West Brom and Burnley.

Yet his record doesn't suggest much, he does seem to have something. Welcome to Notts!

Yes we do need him.

the one factor in our season is we're not scoring enough. Defence is workable.

We'll have more strikers than fans soon. :ahappy:

Welcome to Notts Kaiyne I hope you've brought your shooting boots.

Let's hope his performances are better than his Bolton teammate, White!

It'll be worth seeing his playing style, while we have quite a few up front now, it's about finding the right combination. Different games call for different types of striker in this league!

i am quite encouraged by this but i do agree other signings are important.

we need a cb badly imo.

Hey if Derry is picking up strikers left and right. I am available. I just had a hat trick and an assist last night. 30 yarder bottom left corner,  10 yarder volley to the bottom right. and a free kick 20 yards into the bottom left. but.............it was a different level of players. andddddd.....indoors. Ha but seriously I agree with @Cobby we gotta change it up see if we can't find a good pairing. Cause as of now, we just dont have it. Here's looking at Saturday!

That sounds familiar. Sounds better with a Scottish twang though.  U Canna Win if u Dinna Score as JS said.

Being able to pass would be a start.

Mind it doesn't require much to be better than White, good luck to the striker.

Take what we can get and see what he can do, the lad can play on the wing supposedly. Let's get behind him and push on, at least its a month if it don't work out.

Was just about to post this exact thing.

What makes it worse for me is his age! I don't see him getting into the squad.

I watched his interview on Magpie Player, he sounds to be quite mobile but I did get a sense of 'nervousness' from his responses. Mind he probably hasn't been interviewed or had a camera shoved in his face, still I am quite curious to see how it turns out. I just wonder how he will fit into the selection, as I do think Daniels and Bajner deserve to start, unless Thompson goes upfront.

Seems unfair to throw this lad straight into the mix.
