Noble has apologised to the players, management, owners and fans after being sent off, the story is on the clubs website I can't post a link at the moment but what do you think?

Too little too late?

He has done the right thing Tony but must learn from this and try to eliminate it from his game. He must remember that he was booked twice for the same trivial offence.

Jack Stephens kicked the ball out of the ground at Crewe and was sent off for second booking. We do not have a big squad and had a very depleted midfield against Gillingham and look what happened.

You need your strongest squad available at all times to avoid any (unlikely) threat of relegation.

I just hope he's learnt a lesson and doesn't behave so stupidly again.

I think we can forget about this provided that he moves on.

He did so after his first red card on Twitter and the last one, so for me it's a bit like saying it for the sake of it but I don't blame him for losing, I think we was already at that stage and having seen the highlights he needs to distance himself from the official. Next time, he should just walk a way, except that its happened. He will be yellow carded but avoiding the colour red is completely possible.

I think a lot of our fans are overreacting to his dismissal.

I've seen and known worse players to have disciplinary problems.

Is Noble brain dead? I don't think so but what he did on Saturday was stupid. I mean to get sent off for arguing with the ref after he has just booked you is utter stupidity. A mistimed tackle, fair enough, but arguing with the ref? dear me......

He'll get another chance, the question is will he learn? Derry says he can't help Noble, however I do agree to a point - I do feel he can offer advise. Noble isn't the first player of ours ever to be sent off 3 times within the same season, it's more the manner which seems to be getting to people but in a relegation battle we can't afford not to pick one of our more mobile and skilful midfielders.

That said we can't afford to lose him.

Notts must apply a policy which insists players walk a way from heated moments, fights or arguments with officials. If they don't keep clear, then a punishment should follow.

Some players will always argue though.

Over reaction, he just needs to keep his head down and stay quiet. How many of us argue when we disagree with someone? Send him on a anger course.

he really needs to learn it just is not acceptable, you could see he was going to get sent off despite looking calm. you cant talk to referees or argue with them these days, he should have took the warning. i do feel derry is using this to hide his mistakes and get a way with what was a poor result to a very good start in the game. 0-0 at half time could have easily ended up a draw at full time.

He has apologised, that was the right thing to do.

All should be forgiven now, the sending off did not cost us and its easy to get caught in the moment.

It's ok Shaun criticising Noble but he ought to look at his own attitude towards the officials too, I can never see the point of continually berating the 4th official every time a decision goes against you, ok make your point but Shaun goes over the top and this isn't a good example to set to the players.

If the players aren't fined by the club for getting needless yellows and reds then they should be, if Noble and Carroll got a fine every time they got a yellow for arguing with the ref they would soon stop doing it.

@tonyhateley Derry does one thing for the cameras and another in the games but we cant fault his passion.

He just needs to relax a little.

I know under Martin Allen the players received fines, I believe they still do.

Fining players doesn't always work, you have to work with them and with any players 'bad side' or 'weakness' you have to make sure it's worked on. Noble came back last time saying he had, I think we just need to move on to be honest.

Liam will learn, if he wants to play regular football.

I dont think theres much to this if I am perfectly honest, he got a second yellow for speaking to the referee. Do we know what he said? Some referees just dont like being questioned.

Don't get meaninglessly sent off = no need for excuses!

Never playing again for Notts is also one way to ensure this.

Really? You would rather waste wages?

It was a stupid sending off but to suggest he should not play again for the club after reciveing his third card is a little bit of an overreaction dont you think???

Credit to the guy for having the balls to publically apologise like that, but actions speak louder than words.

Gotta be honest I'd be having some very strong words with Roy Carroll too. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy but the way he carries on at the officials every week is pretty embarrassing. Even ten minutes after the penalty on Saturday he was still whinging, and you just think get on with it for christ sake. The referee is not going to say oh it wasn't a penalty I'll chalk that goal off is he?

The manager hardly sets a great example on the touchline either. He was more interested in storming off having a row with the referee at full time on Saturday rather than coming and applauding the traveling fans. Again, I love Derry to bits but grow up for christ sake.

Spot on @weymouthPIE I agree with every word of that.

The players and staff need to regroup, everything fell apart when Derry had that chat. Liam needs a role model, not someone who argues with officials.

Not really. It's a waste of a player in the starting eleven if he is going to be sent off half the time.

We need someone that will be there for the 90 minutes.

Fortunately for Liam the game was already lost against Swindon, but that won't be the case in the future. All season the management and supporters have been banging on about his lack of discipline, getting 2 yellows in 1 minute for shouting in the refs face shows that he will never learn.
