Notts beat Crawley 4-1 back in September. One of the few highlights of a disappointing season.

Crawley were actually second last leaving Meadow Lane that Tuesday night in September. Since then they have steadied the ship and moved up the table. They are currently 13th in the table on 34 points (4 ahead of Notts but they have played 2 more games). They have scored 33 goals (4 less than Notts) and conceded 44 goals (the exact same as Notts).

Crawley have won 2 and lost 3 of their last 5 games. They lost to Barnet, Wycombe and Portsmouth. They beat Stevenage & Cambridge. 23 of their 34 points have come at home. Notts have never won at Crawley.

Crawley's defence is nothing special. Only one of their defenders has played in every league game which tells its own story in terms of the number of goals they have conceded. Walton in CM is decent. Edwards on the wing is dangerous. They also have a guy called Deacon, who's doing well, but he didn't play in their last game, he was an unused sub. Up front they will go with Harrold and Barnard. Barnard hasn't scored a single goal this season and Harrold has only 4. They might push Tomlin up front, but he has been playing on the wing and I don't think they will change a winning line up.

Crawley are a physical side. They have adapted their style to suit League 2. It's fast, it's furious and they don't give teams much time on the ball.

Notts should be beating Crawley and beating them comfortably but given recent events, I'd be happy with a point. JF will need time to put his stamp on the team and being honest any kind of positive result would be a bonus IMO. I'm preparing for another defeat but giving JF a free pass in his first game. I think Crawley will win 2-1. I expect Crawley to go 2 up early, Notts to fight back and Izzy to score to make things interesting.

I'm hoping the new manager syndrome helps us, yet I do feel the most we will gain from this is a draw.

McLeod should be fired up to prove another point, plus several players have a fresh chance to prove themselves and possibly establishing a regular space within the starting line up. So, really - if we are setup well, we may actually cause a surprise but most don't seem to think we will get anything. This was the case before Jamie came onto the scenes as manager, lets hope he can change things.

I just want to hear and read positivity about how we played. COYP!

i think it will take a few games for fullarton to stamp his mark onto the play, so i think that may favour crawley.

i hope for a draw but i dont see it, i think it will probably end up 2-1 to them.

is noble now back anyone?

Notts are certainly a unknown entity right now, will it favour us? I doubt it.

Hope for a draw, I would be happy with that.

^^ I am the same.

This Notts squad is frustrating and I feel it will get worse. I do not know how the new manager will set us up, hopefully he has more ideas about how to do that.

He's back?

Someone experienced who can pass might help, though I think his boats sailed myself.

If Nicky Wroe is the answer, I dread to think what the question is.

I had honestly forgotten he was still on the books.

I don't know how this game will go, there are too many imponderables, what team will Fullarton pick? Plus I suppose it also depends on how the players have taken the new managerial appointment, they could either be elated that Moniz has gone and go all out to impress the new boss or disillusioned because they respected Moniz and therefore will not play to their best. They are of course professionals and should go into to a game to do their very best.

I am thinking a draw away would be a good steady start, a win would be a bonus.

Team selection will be very interesting, especially seeing whether he goes with two up front.  McLeod and Stead would be the obvious pairing, but Ronan Murray looked lively in the midweek reserve game.  He was subbed at half time, was that with a view towards today's game?  I think we might see McLeod as a lone striker to allow a bit of bolstering in midfield.

well guy has a better brain then moniz if this is his selection that's for sure at last someone has the guts to say smith you're dropped.

And at last someone has realised Milsom and Curtis in the middle we now have a engine room that will run chase and challenge Murray playin off stead Atkinson looks decent at fullback Burke dropped and should be lazy slow offers no cover.

Yeah Stanley has nice touches good control but hasn't worked in a flat two so far I think it's better then muppet moniz selection

Two right backs? Quality choice.

The best passer of a ball we've had for years in aborah and we have gone for hard working instead, yeah much better. Next you'll be telling me Keith Alexander played the best football the world had ever seen

That is even worse than first thought, we don't have anyone who can pass water never mind the ball in central midfield. I'll send some tin hats for those going to the next home game....

0-0 half time.

Looks like back to boring defensive football then.
