Ray looking to sell?

Was mentioned a few times in the match-day chat today. Apparently been looking to sell for a few months.

I don't have any information regarding this rumour, just repeating what was said.

There's been several rumours.

A local business owner was reported to be interested, he squashed the rumour via Twitter. Basically most people don't believe Mr Hardy has enough money to even invest in a League Two team.

Then we had the fictional 'Russian' investor that turned into a potential buyer - somewhere along the lines even the nationality changed. There have been rumours that the trust are preparing to make a move - combined with a couple of business people but I honestly can't see that happening. I know of two others, yet I think it's all just rumours. In this division it would only be a fan or local business that would purchase a club struggling to realise it's own identity. If the Trew's are looking to sell, until it happens it should be treated as nothing more than a rumour.

There's nothing solid or remotely swaying opinion that there's merit behind any of them.

A field where dreams become reality.

Probably just wishful thinking.

Would you rather we sold the club back to the Trust and struggle to pay the milk man, the trews have stabilised the club and have forked out the cash for new signings

Or have someone who can spend wisely and actually invest in success? The money that has been claimed to have gone into Notts is a waste.

I think a majority of football minded millionaires could have gained back to back promotions with the reported figures, all we have to show is expenses after expenses. Danny Haynes and the likes.

But is that down to the owner or the monkey he employs that brings in the nuts and dead wood?

Whilst I'm 100% sure that off the field we have definitely improved since the trust. However, on the field? We've got progressively worse, and we now occupy a similar position to where the trust had us. If the product and results on the field of play are going to remain so bad (and history under the Trews suggest they will) then what happens off the pitch is largely irrelevant, sadly.

Precisely. Someone with 1/4 of the money but able to spend it wisely.

Well the owner employes the monkeys, and sacks them too. How long do we go on keep blaming the managers, and not the puppet master hiring them?

If we could get another owner who would spend wisely and do things that are best for the club, but trew has tried to do things right but its obviously not worked

I personally feel that the only thing the fans hold against him, is his ineptitude at hiring a decent manager.

The mistake he constantly makes is hiring managers who apply for the job, rather than going out and identifying someone who is already in work and paying the compensation.

I know that every managerial appointment is a risk, but it appears the fans know more than he does in this department and the fans end up being right.

I wouldn't want him to to sell, I thank Mr Trew for everything he has done for this football club off the field and you cannot argue that he has not pumped money into the playing side, but he has been very badly advised with regard to manager recruitment and must have thrown a lot of money away paying them off.

I hope he sells simple as that he has no idea or any clue he is arrogant and he has got this mad point that he is trying to prove.

Hes obsessed with trying to find the next Eddie Howe instead of someone who's managed we had Lee Clarke mark cooper but we employ a nobody and it's looking very costly at the minute.

Also this transfer comitee managed to beat Shaun derrys record of players bringing in there own players we are gettin worse I'd rather have someone who understands football for me it's time they went they have tried and there failing each season

but when you pump 20 million into the club and you're back in league 2 sitting 18th in the league gettin out done by the leagues worst team a manager who has no expierence or any identity of style play something ain't working.

We are a lot worse off we bring in 40+ players every season even tho were promised a small squad of quality not quantity moniz was a risk becuase he didn't understand English football yes.

But then to bring in someone who has never even managed in football is suicidal and everyone saying we can't go down seriously look at that table it is very possible and can easily happen

Northamphton had no money and they were flying Acrrington no money play offs Mansfield not a bigger budget then us right up there Crawley no money higher then us tho.

Wycombe not loaded but still up there

they haven't all spent 20 million

have Colchester spent 20 million have teams like Crewe Oldham spent 20 million ? no they haven't there surviving  in league one  Infact how many of the top 10 in league two have spent 12 million?

Probaly none but they all have a better game plan then us always seem to recruit better always seem to be up there were as our 20 million got us ?

Litreally 20 million has got us starting the conference in the face that's why they should give up and accept its not worked out

Now managers God knows what we've paid them off but the scary hing is how could Fullarton earn a 5 year deal ?

At home we play hoofball away we play hoofball away were to defensive at times at home against Wimbledon I felt we was the away side just sitting back and that's jus negative if Hartlepool beat us there will be a huge reaction from the crowd Saturday

I honestly can't see how Mr. Trew is going to fund 2 teams and expect success. The ladies are up against Premier sides with big budgets. Only a matter of time before they are relegated. Maybe the ladies team could be offloaded? Cut his losses? Just a thought.

the ladies team this year have lost decree Scott that other one who's gone to Liverpool for a fee it's a waste of money.

Liverpool man city Chelsea Arsenal teams like that in women's football is spare change to them to a team like us it's extra cash that could be out to better use like hiring a real manager compensation etc

They all have a better and more experienced manager than us, that is worth 20 million on its own. No point spending that sort of money when managers don't know what to do with it!

that's my point they have nothing but have a system an a plan that they have followed were as we change every 10 mins we could buy a dream team.

But with Fullarton managing it it's useless as he doesn't have the right ability to do this job

Like most of the rumours around Notts, I expect this to be the usual mixture of stirring and wishful thinking. The board probably speaks to potential sponsors and investors all the time. Certain people seem to be twisting the story and heralding them as the new messiah, Alan Hardy being one example.

Personally, I hope they stick with Notts......I just wish they would appoint a decent manager that at least 50% of fans had heard of, or who they could get behind.

Out of the list of possible candidates last time around, several potential managers had both pros and cons for employment.

JF is yet again a complete unknown.....if I had £20 million invested (I wish!), I think I would employ a top-notch manager to safeguard my money!

but does there history really tell you they are going to appoint a manager at all ?

The following managers

Ricardo Moniz

Shaun Derry

Kiwoyma

the last 3 have been terrible and now a U21 after those 3 you'd surely learn you need proven or a manager with a decent record

But the way I see it he is wasting  his own money by his own errors over an over again if he can't run the club which he is showing he can't sell up to someone who can do the job

if we got someone who knew what they was doing we wouldn't be a mess or a joke but the way we are run is the joke there is no structured system.

Rule 1 you never appoint anyone in football by a interview you appoint by success and a achievements expierence.

we seem the type that would turn down mourinho cause he doesn't do a great interview it's madness we always end up with 40+ players every season when we say we won't.

we have a battle of personalities who all want to sign there players moniz players branston players now Fullarton players we waste the biggest budget on crap.

We always seem to appoint a coach who has never managed a actual club.

that bloke who has brought Oxford kelvin Thomas he was at Oxford with wilder and I read ages when he was buying Northamphton.

Wilder stated he's a real footballing man he knows the game has a structured plan let's the manager do the job but has a great understanding of business.

And they did great things at Oxford that's what I'd want someone who understands football let's the manager run the show pick the team who he signs or doesn't sign.

But I can dream
