I'm glad we've taken some decisive action and appointed someone with experience instead of attempting to limp over the line with 40-odd points. The fact that the board felt they had to bring someone in to stave off the threat of relegation in the first place is an utterly damning indictment of Jamie Fullarton's tenure. We were still dreaming of the play-offs when he showed up.

Good luck Mark Cooper, hope he picks a positive team and brings back the smiles to Meadow Lane.

thoughts of Alan Hardy on twitter:   I actually think it's a really good appointment & I think he'll do well. He'll be looking to build next season now

Just watched his first interview, comes across very well and very refreshing after JF's dull nonsense interviews. Plans to play attacking football, complemented how the team played under Ricardo.

Definitely looking forward to Fridays game now, rather than dreading it.

@ohstanleyaborah after finally obtaining a correct URL to reset my password, I have successfully gained access.

Basically....

  • He's been a manager for a few years now, managed plenty of games.
Try to bring a bit of stability, a bit of unity.
Try to put a few smiles on peoples faces.
He wants to take the reigns of the players a bit, try to attack games and try to entertain people.
He wants to get people off their seats, players playing with a smile on their faces.
There's no right or wrong way in playing football but he likes to entertain and score goals.
He says it's a brilliant football club, plenty of tradition and history.
Both parties get to have a look at each other under his 'incentive deal'.
He joked about requiring 31 points from his remaining games.
He said we will go to Portsmouth and will be trying to go to win.
He said it's frustrating times for fans.

I may finally listen and care to what the manager has to say after watching games again!

Ricardo and Jamie was not the best at interviews. Cooper is a sensible appointment, one which should have been made after the sacking of Ricardo Moniz. His interviews come across as mindful and honest.

the way i still feel at the minute i would not be surprised if the 31 points was a real target.

but i am pleased that the club have finally made a sensible appointment but it still annoys me that the decision did not come before the incorrect appointment was made.
