I do a lot of media based work, so I am usually on a laptop. My default device is a powerhouse in terms of performance (it has to be when using photoshop and video editing). My old laptop had 8gb of ram, however I now have 16gb which is far better for multitasking and the type of work I need to perform.

My desktop hasn't been in use for a few years, not since it blew up in a storm we had. :(

There's times when I have to use a tablet or my phone, though my mobile is usually the go to device for doing tasks such as social media.

I'm about 5 years behind any given "batch" of technology. I'm very much a desktop user, I like having my "base" which has everything on it. Used to have a laptop but the amount I use it (literally talking 12 hours a day if not more), it couldn't give me what I needed. As for phones, well I had a Blackberry (I know right? How very noughties) only up until 2 years ago, and now I have one of the early samsung galaxy models which is diabolical, but can't afford a new phone. So yeah, maybe time to step up to the iPhone 4??

Not technology savvy I'm afraid so my 4g phone is my limit , family had a job getting me to use it , now they laugh as I'm never off it , PoN has helped me loads to be honest , given me confidence to use it ect .

Haha, I'll get you into the modern century @Joe Jones but as I wrote that - I couldn't help but think you may find it easier trying to settle down (find a nice partner etc). Scary now mind...

@super_ram isn't very tech savvy @Who r ya?? You Pies!! - it took me all on converting him to use a smartphone and don't get me started on the repeated lessons on how to manage, control and navigate his laptop. Seriously, he claimed to be a pro because he used a desktop at work but constantly typed the PON domain in the search box. However, before anyone thinks I'm picking on him. I'm now getting to the stage whereby my son @super_pie knows more about gaming than me! That will soon expand into technology I am sure.

Whereas @GrannyPie can get the most out of her smartphone without issue, rarely does she require help.

Very proud, if only the older 'Super' could step up.

Okay, that may be harsh. LOL

Yes @notts-joe it seems to be the same in my family , my grandchildren know technology inside out , navigate around really well , mind you technology these days is the name of the game for the younger generation,  a must even .

i mostly visit from my phone or tablet.

at work i will tend to scan the site from my phone but i prefer my tablet for posting. i am considering getting a laptop in the future, saving up for various things. one is a season ticket for next year.

Desktop.

I cannot be bothered with tablets, they are just fiddly to use and when you have big smart phone already what is the point? Not the biggest smartphone user either.

Desktop - nearly always.

Tablet - occasionally, especially if I'm on holiday.

Mobile - Never.  My large fingers and the small keys just don't get on.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.

I always used a desktop to browse the internet but with laptops and now mobiles advancing further, it appeals to use a laptop for heavy browsing and posting.

Tablets are useful but I share one with the wife, who reads with it.

My trusty tablet!

I do have a laptop with me, but I only power it up when I am staying somewhere over night. Otherwise it uses my trucks battery and I'm not keen on doing that. The tablet is portable and powerful enough to do all the things I require. I mostly read online and the only websites I visit is the OS and this place.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
