Terry Hawkridge!

Rumour has it that Terry Hawkridge is unsettled in Nottingham and at Notts County. He would like to bring up his child and family in Lincoln and Lincoln seem interested in having him back, especially after the departure of Alex Woodyard. Would we miss him and are we looking to replace him? Thoughts?

Good move for Terry. But to put a few things right...

He isn't unsettled in Nottingham at all. He was born and bred here. His whole family lives here. He wants to stay, but he knows last season wasn't great for him and is worried he won't get game time soon so that will be the reason he moves, if he does.

That's no gossip btw. It's from his Dad!

Correction then @hissingdwarf. Thought his girlfriend owned a shop in Lincoln and that they lived there now and I was under the impression he commuted every day from Lincoln.

As I say, Terry's Dad, just before the season ended, said he loved Nottingham and being back, but was worried that he'd let himself down this year and Notts might not use him as much. Honestly didn't know his girlfriend lived there. We'll call it a score draw! lol

To be honest he's not lit up ML so wouldn't be a major loss.

He has family in Nottingham being a local lad, and I would have thought he would be settled just fine. You can't believe every rumour that does the rounds, relocating back to Nottingham might be the easier option if he is unsettled but Lincoln isn't that far from Notts.

I wouldn't expect him to want to leave a side building for promotion, especially after having a decent campaign this past season. If Terry works hard, he'll force his way into the squad because he's a decent player at this level.

We just need to see him link up better with Tootle or whoever is behind him, if he quickly releases the ball - his delivery can be lethal.

With better strikers next season, I fully expect him to play a vital role within the squad - even if this means doing it via coming on as a sub.

Also there is this which Dan shared on Twitter.

Twitter comment and photo not real (photo last year after he'd just signed) and comments made up!

There's better players out there but you have to praise Terry Hawkridge for his work rate.

If he did rejoin Lincoln City it could be a good move, yet he can still do a job here. I take most rumours like this not very seriously, there's far better excuses and it sounds like the one used when people said Liam Noble was unsettled. That involved his wife and how she wasn't happy with him playing at FGR, but he ends up at Notts instead.
