Will Micheal O’Connor commit his future to County.?

Featured Replies

I've never heard of Will O'Connor... ;)

He's being linked with Lincoln if you believe the Twitter rumours, yet I hope he will. Michael is one of them players that can push us forward, he's come back very strong after his injury and I believe he's a vital player to get to re-sign. We need his leadership on the pitch, so hopefully he will!

Oh dear @Chris what u mean will O’Connor oh dear sir u need to check your eyes. ????????

@Chris I don’t believe all the twitter or social media I do think he will resign to County. But the injury he had cost him more than half a season so that could be  his mind.

I would have thought Michael O'Connor would have been one of the first to signup to the new season.

There's rumours that the clubs supposedly offered him a lower deal and of course he's linked with Lincoln City. I think if he aims to have another go at League One he would see that his best bet is to sign the deal offered by Kevin Nolan. No doubt he's a good player, we need to keep him.

I fully expect Michael O'Connor to sign up for another season, make it happen Notts!

I think he lives closer to Lincoln than to Notts but apart from that I can't see why he wouldn't sign

- In my opinion, we've got a better chance of going up

- He owes us because we've stuck by him since his injury and helped him recover

- He can spearhead our season and finally be involved in a promotion battle with us (this time with him involved from the start of the season)

- He's our captain

I’m praying he’s been offered a decent package and he signs, in my opinion he’s a great player and captain a true leader on the field in the mould of Phil Turner and we need to build the team around him.

@ARLukomski"He owes us..." ...Dean Yates was out for a long time in similar circumstances, but left despite supporting him.

Th problem with O'Connor will be that a lot of L1 clubs will be chasing his signature too or even Rotherham on returning to The Championship

Having said that, I hope he stays..he is an integral part of the team and will help the younger midfielders from being bullied

i would hope he resigns for us but if he dont, i do think it will allow someone else to come through and be that important player. i agree with everything @ARLukomski said but i do see that loyalty means little to some.

Michael O'Connor would be good if he extended his deal at Notts, he looked sharp in the games after his injury and I worry that he has put his name in the shop window with how he played against Coventry. He's a good player but not Championship quality, I think its more likely if he leaves it would be for another promotion contender from League Two.

If he will be our captain again, surely the club would be prepared to pay him the same as previous seasons? I think people are making stuff up to suite their own agenda on social media, nobody but the club knows what has been offered.
