There are a lot of words that I feel sound old-fashioned, VHS tapes and the word "video" seems very old now but it wasn't that long ago that they was mainstream gadgets.

What words sound old-fashioned to you and, why?

I still sometimes say I’m going to “tape” a tv programme, a throwback from the old video tapes.

I'll name just one for now but I might add a few more at a later point. I want to see what others say!

Never really thought about it, I think people just use what they feel comfortable with saying.

Never mind particular words, why is the use of manners an old fashioned idea? Especially off of older people who should be setting an example?
