Simple idea for a discussion, I would like to know where you see Notts in various points in the future.

In a years time - where do you see Notts?

In three years time - where do you think Notts will be?

In five years time - where will Notts be?

In ten years time - where do you believe Notts will be?

Let's try to predict what PON members think, I do believe this can be an interest discussion so please do join in. I'm very curious to see where people believe Notts will be and go into as much detail as possible if you can. 👍

In a years time - where do you see Notts?

Playing League One football and attempting to establish themselves in the division.

In three years time - where do you think Notts will be?

Securing mid-table/just beneath the playoffs in League One.

In five years time - where will Notts be?

Ideally pushing for promotion from League One, with a much stronger squad and rising attendances.

In ten years time - where do you believe Notts will be?

Floating around the Championship and League One, maybe with a spell in League Two briefly.

In a years time - where do you see Notts?

i think we will still be in league two, narrowly missing out on the playoff final win we all wanted last season.

In three years time - where do you think Notts will be?

playing league one football as a mid table side.

In five years time - where will Notts be?

playing league one after dropping out of the division the year before but securing the l2 title previously.

In ten years time - where do you believe Notts will be?

bouncing from all three leagues, championship, l1 and l2 but mostly in league one.

I have a very good feeling about Notts right now, I feel that Alan Hardy and Kevin Nolan make a great duo. The issue for me is what happens if Nolan struggles at some point and, he's unable to break the cycle - it almost happened last season. Then there's the issue of another club coming in for him, he's settled in Nottingham but any local side above could potentially convince him to join them.

Losing Nolan would be a big blow, he's building something here and the issue is that Hardy will have to strike lucky with the next manager.

If he goes for experience in this scenario it might not benefit the club, as with a rookie there's that cost. I do feel Hardy will be able to appoint a better candidate than we have seen previously under Ray Trew (he's already started better with his first appointment).

So, here's my answers.

In a years time - where do you see Notts?

I am convinced Notts will gain promotion this season to League One, things will click and we shall have another enjoyable season.

In three years time - where do you think Notts will be?

Here's where things get tricky, I feel we will get two seasons out of Nolan and then I would imagine he will move onto another club. I think Notts will be a mid-table side, playing good football but a team that struggles to compete with the bigger clubs.

I think this would make Nolan consider other clubs to further his career and, it's vital Notts replaces him with a good replacement.

In five years time - where will Notts be?

The first season I think will be another transitional period for the club and, in my mind this may lead to them flirting with relegation from League One but I do feel things will click by the second season.

In ten years time - where do you believe Notts will be?

From there I can see Notts improving and flourishing commercially, I think the club will miss out on playoffs and fall just short of them but eventually I do believe within the 10 years they will gain promotion to the Championship.

I can see Notts playing Championship football within 10 years if all the focus remains on bringing success to the club.

Alan Hardy has done well to avoid the wobbles which always seemed likely with Ray Trew's misguided direction. It would be a good thing to keep pushing for this goal.

One year

In League One beginning the 2019-20 season.

Three years

Notts to be stable in League One but I would imagine Nolan going to Bolton would be inevitable at this point. Chris Cohen takes over

Five years

Notts to be pushing top end of League One and hopefully win promotion

Ten years

Notts to be financially stable and getting used to Championship football. Hardy at this point will have sold part of his stake in Notts to a rich investor to take us further.
