Ross Fitzsimmons and Jamie Turley in perfect harmony ?

Featured Replies

So I’ve noticed that Ross Fitzsimmons and Jamie Turley seem to have an understanding when defending.

In the last match, at meadow lane ,when Carlisle pressed us, Ross and Jamie would pass back to each other, remain calm and deal with the situation calmly and effective,ly.

Jamie like Ross was also very vocal in arranging the defence for set pieces and so forth. They had a trust in each other that defender and goal keeper need. The team work for me is a positive sign for defence that it’s improving.

I know that we have conceded 2 late goals i the 85th minute but that’s not their fault. I genuinely believe they are doing their best for the team and the understanding and team work with them is helping.

Ross has improved massively since earlier in the season. It started at Northampton. He looked a lot more calmer and a lot more confident. He now looks fine. Turley battles for the cause. Our problem is stopping crosses

Elliott Ward does too, however he can get mardy - he’s nowhere near as bad as Richard Duffy. I do wish Ross Fitzsimons would communicate better, he does speak a fair bit to Jamie Turley but it’s nowhere near to what it should be.

A field where dreams become reality.

Yeah, I noticed they talk a lot. I noticed Jamie quickly praising Ross after his one on one saves.

They might have the understanding because they have both stepped up from the non-league.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

They probably know how to keep each other in their best mood throughout the game.

hopefully the togetherness and understanding can spread across the back four, they need to cover each other and accept mistakes happen. the better communication notts shows, the easier job fitzsimons should have.

Ross is still guilty of being too quiet.

He needs to make the defence fear him but in a good way, if he can get that. He would notice more respect from some of the more life like players.

The defence has improved a lot and I agree that there is a level of communication at the back, Jamie Turley is a great example of someone trying to organise but boost the teams confidence.

He's been a very good signing.

Part of the keepers job is to breed confidence into the defenders in front of him, if Fitzsimons can get other players on the same page and if Jamie Turley isn't dropped I think things should click.

It sounds like Richard Duffy could be released come the end of the season.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
