So Neal Ardley delivered a home win in his first home game in charge can we now start to be Optimistic.?

With Grimsby next up only a few spaces and points in front and Macclesfield at meadow lane next but a hard game away to Bury is it time for us to be optimistic.?

Steady on  ... No we can't. Were still not out the relegation zone and Sol Campbell seems to have changed Macclesfield around. There is still a lot of hard work to do but these next few games are critical. Macclesfield is the biggest game of the season so far. We must try and create a gap.

I think it depends how this Christmas run can go TBH.

There's positive things to be said about today and it seems Notts have made good progress, the performance was pretty decent with a few issues that can be sorted. A friend said to me before the game that they felt Notts would win, I didn't have that faith but I wished I had. He spoke a lot of sense, he mentioned about getting a reaction from Mansfield and how he saw Ardley taking that.

It seems right and he mentioned being optimistic in the fact the clubs finally got a manager who can manage this "project" properly.

At this stage take one game at a time but it looks much more positive. I think its early days.

That hug between Ardley and Stead at the end shows we are in good hands.

It's a big weight off the players shoulders.

Most of it will depend on January but I think Ardley already knows what we need to survive and climb the table

Good progress in the short time under Neal Ardley has clearly been made the emotion after the game with John and Neal shows there a real bond there between captain and Manager which is great news. If today is anything to go by I think we possibly might be able to to be optimistic. But the next few games this month will count a lot.

it does she there is progress and things to be happy about, a good win and a good performance. that is enough for me to get optimistic about but i do accept its early days.

Due to how Notts tends to struggle, I feel there's a natural negative feeling when things don't go to plan. When it lifts as it did today, it does give you something to be optimistic about. I felt proud watching the players claw the win back. At 2-2 the game would have usually been lost, even at 1-1 it normally would have been a different game. Notts played some good stuff, most of the players worked together.

That has me at least hopeful that Neal Ardley can move the club forward.

Is that optimistic? I think so.

The performance warrants some optimism but the fact is this needs to be something seen on a regular basis, away from home this season Notts have looked very poor at times.

Its definetly more positive but i think a few more games will tell us for sure.

A good away performance at Grimsby now needed. The jury's still out but very promising.

We have to be optimistic or we may as well throw the towel in.

Its definetly needed as away results are just as important now.

Think the question should be asked to the negative people who shouts nonsense in the stands each week without thinking.

Some will always find something to complain about.

In some games yes

Yes it really does depend on the team we are up against.
