From the official website:

Notts County have this morning been given more time to settle their debt to HMRC.

The High Court have adjourned the case until 10 July in recognition of the ongoing takeover process.

Notts fully understand supporters’ frustrations and concerns surrounding the club’s ownership situation but stress that strict confidentiality measures must be adhered to in order to ensure a deal is completed professionally and in line with all regulations.

As soon as the club are in a position to comment further, a statement will be released.

Meanwhile, according to Sky Sports:

The Meadow Lane club now owes HMRC £800,000 in unpaid taxes.

I'm giving up. Close to completion - more debt, close to completion - more debt, close to completion - winding up order, close to completion - court hearing, money owed. I'm just had enough.

Debt, more debt, even more debt, money owed to HMRC, money owed to creditors, takeover stalling. Can anything go right? Like can anything go well at this club?

And if it takes 28 more days to complete even though they are only sorting out legal stuff then I don't know anymore

Mel Brooks once said to hope for the best, but expect the worst. I've been expecting the worst for weeks and if it turns out better then I will be relieved, but still got that nagging pain that it is all going to end in tears.

I don't think the HMRC would have granted a month without some sort of conditional proof being needed.

I'm not as worried as anyone else, yes it's frustrating but some fans just read the negatives, then go to the extremes. Think positive, the takeover will happen.

It’s enough time to sort the mess out, some might say we need to sign players but I doubt no plans are in action. Everything will be thought out and this will be resolved.

As expected, it needs to be dealt with this time.

it will be dealt with.

It should just be paid now, get it out of the way and take the money into the sale price.

I actually don't believe Notts is worth £6million myself, the assets aren't there and I recall reading a price guide a few years back that suggested we was around £3million in value.

It's better news than I expected, I thought it would be less time and other issues attached to it.

this would not have been granted without good reason, i am happy with that but i just want it over now. by this i mean see the bill paid.

Not surprising, i hope he sorts it and goes.

Well at least we have the time to complete the sale of the club or it could of been worse is all i keep thinking if I’m honest.

a few more than just a few weeks, i hope the sa consortium interest is genuine.

It’s good to see the club finally informing fans via official statements, I am surprised I it wasn’t published elsewhere mind. The club needs to end discussions with them, as I wouldn’t trust anyone who asks a known scammer to do their dealings.

Yes but for how long if this sale doesnt go through.
