New blog’s up! Short, sharp, and hopefully not too daft. I welcome comments, unless it’s to suggest I take up mime. I write to make smiles, not to knock the club.

Chris

I don't think this warrants being shared in the announcement, but I have improved the user group graphics. Once I know how to apply alternative ones for the dark theme via CSS, I will be making those changes.

I'm hoping to have better news shortly. πŸ‘

Some new faces, plenty of familiar ones, and a fresh new look! I see PON has had an upgrade recently, and it looks great. Very nice!

Chris

PON is experiencing some issues with the topics styling. Please be assured that this is known and will be resolved ASAP. I am currently focusing on the dashboard. If you have any suggestions regarding any aspects, please do let me know.

I haven't written one in a while. I scrapped my last blog because the mood in the Notts camp felt so low. I thought it would do more harm than good. Now, with the first signing and a head coach yet to be named, it's got me thinking again.

  1. I heard some teachers talking about it too, and like you, my first thought was the same. It’s really upsetting. Sadly, you do come across false stories now and again, so it’s important to stay careful. As soon as I saw it confirmed on the BBC Sport site, I had to pause for a moment. It’s such a sad situation.
  2. Such awful news. My thoughts are with those who have passed. May they both rest in peace.
  3. It’s been a strange summer, hasn’t it? On one hand, we’ve brought in a mix of hungry young players and seasoned heads, and you can tell the club is trying to reshape the squad to fit Paterson’s style. Players like Norburn should bring grit and experience, while someone like Matthew Dennis might just be a hidden gem if he settles quickly. The midfield’s definitely looking more balanced already. But I can’t help feeling uneasy about the keeper situation. Griffiths is unproven at this level, and while I wish him the best, it’s unfair to expect him to replace Bass seamlessly. If we don’t sort that position soon, it could undo the rest of the good work. We’re a couple of signings away from looking genuinely ready to compete at the top. The club have said they’re looking to bring in a replacement for Alex Bass. But things can change quickly, and if a good player becomes available, other clubs might think we’ve got money to spend and raise their asking price. I’m not sure which goalkeepers are available on a free at the moment. Still, buying one outright often gives the best results when it comes to getting real quality between the sticks.
  4. Another great read @allardyces tash i love your style of writing it’s very humorous, keep it up. πŸ‘
  5. I really value everything that goes into this website. It's a breath of fresh air and I feel proud to be part of the community. I do wish I could do more, especially when it comes to helping out with the site's costs. But I understand that it’s not all about money. In a world where running a website brings lots of bills, it’s just nice to know there are people out there who are in a place to help. Thanks to everyone involved. I appreciate the update and all the effort that goes into keeping the site going.
