I agree, it’s beneficial to bring in some seasoned players with the new signings and hopefully, Rod McDonald will vie for his spot in the starting eleven. To me, the move seems more like a reserve signing, but that’s not a negative thing and I’m confident he will dedicate himself fully to the club. I’m pleased to see the defence bolstered even more, it’s quite promising to witness.

The work done under the Trew and Hardy eras pales in comparison to what we see now. True, the pitch was impressive back then. However, it has consistently looked superior under the Reedtz and the present ground staff. Their exceptional work is commendable and they truly deserve all the accolades.

Under the Reedtz brothers, the transfer window seems quite logical. Yes, at times we might struggle to understand, and the focus might seem different. However, they are dedicated to enhancing the squad both on and off the pitch. So far, all the new signings have impressed me, and they are in areas where we indeed need to strengthen. The fact that we’ve invested in a goalkeeper is another positive aspect. I hope this provides Stuart Maynard with the platform to improve.

Players who recognise the support of fans often find it boosts their performance and helps them settle in. This can significantly contribute to making a player feel at home. I believe this is a strong signing, offering not just quality but also a unique element to our team. His ability to play on either flank complements our current setup, especially since Jodi Jones and Aaron Nemane are versatile enough to switch sides whenever necessary. He seems like an excellent addition who’s quite grounded.

The club might be able to offer better prices by collaborating more with Magpie Brewery. They should maintain their current selection but also introduce some local beers for variety. However, the high prices could exclude many fans. The Nest shouldn’t be exclusive to the wealthy; it should welcome all supporters. The necessity of charging for standing room is questionable. While the club can find ways to generate revenue, it seems unreasonable when there are complimentary venues that are just as pleasant. Our goal should be to unite our fans in one place, all eagerly cheering on the team.

At the 90-minute point, I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be our day. Regrettably, we lost our focus and fell to a rather weak Wimbledon team. I didn’t hear any jeering directed at the players, only at the officials. Those around me were vocal in their criticism and made their feelings clear. On a different day, we might have scored two or three goals. A goal for Notts could have completely changed the game. I don’t believe it would have ended in a draw if we had taken the lead. However, we need to improve our defence at the moment. This situation is leaving Stuart Maynard with very little support, but it’s crucial that the club remains united.

There’s a noticeable difference when Sam Austin is part of the team. Ideally, we need to find a way to include him where he can be most effective. His urgency off the bench is commendable, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t start games. Stuart Maynard should consider this, as Austin’s energy is often unparalleled.

I agree with what the manager has said, it’s crucial we’re aware of Crewe and what they might do during the match. Personally, I believe focusing on using the ball effectively and defending with alertness would give us a stronger mindset. I’m sure this is the plan, but if we can use the ball effectively and perform to the standard we’ve seen at times this season, then we could put the match out of reach by being clinical on goal. Making that happen is just a matter of letting things fall into place. Regardless, Crewe will be a tough opponent, but I trust our players to deliver on home ground.

I believe we’ve reached a stage where we need to focus on earning the necessary points. We’re safe, Notts won’t be relegated, but once the playoffs are out of reach, it might be time to start integrating some young players. Of course, at this point, there’s still plenty of hope to pursue the playoffs. Newport will face an equal amount of pressure, but they’ll likely have a better mindset due to their form. Notts needs to stay focused, shake off any distractions, and ensure no nerves set in. In terms of performance, it’s not crucial as long as we can secure the win. The players have everything they need to achieve this, they just need to believe in themselves and work hard.

Not securing three points will result in remarks about us lacking drive, more negativity towards Stuart Maynard when in reality we are still adjusting to life after Luke Williams. It’s not a straightforward situation, but the match will give us hope to return to victorious ways. Our mindset needs to be on achieving the result but provided the performance is solid. I would be content personally. It should be another good match, if we can involve Macaulay Langstaff more and concentrate less on trying to dribble the ball into the opposition’s net, we might create better opportunities overall.

We must remember that Stuart Maynard has all the resources he needs to succeed in his role, with the Reedtz ensuring he has everything necessary. The coaching team is superior to many at this level. His tactics and coaching style should start to show as we play more games, but we’re still a few matches away from seeing the complete picture. I wish fans would support him and wait to see the outcome. I firmly believe that Maynard will prove his worth. His introduction at Meadow Lane was a nice touch. Let’s rally behind him.

Notts are much more secure and structured at the back, I anticipate it will be more of a stop-start game with some messy play. I fully expect Stockport County to try to intimidate us, that was their strategy at their ground and they executed it well in the first half. We need to be wary of those elbows and pushes to the ground, more than we have to worry about them being more direct. I hope we get some news about the new head coach, it seems likely that it will be announced at the match now. There’s something happening which has led to the media releasing the pre-match interviews quicker. I actually think we can narrowly win this game, being on home turf makes me much more confident that we can edge the game.

I don’t believe their second goal should have been a penalty. Tobi Adebayo-Rowling wasn’t the only one struggling to stay upright. To me, it seemed like Jayden Richardson had fallen, and even after watching the highlights, I’m not convinced there was any contact. The decision seemed harsh on Kyle Cameron.

Despite the room for improvement in defence, Notts’ performance left me with a positive impression. They held their own for the majority of the game. It’s important to concentrate on the bright spots from the match. We controlled the ball well, and Stockport was successful in intercepting our attacks, which kept the excitement high. I trust the players are satisfied with their efforts. I’m hopeful that the club will delegate the responsibility of the players’ press conference this time. We can gather our strength and come back stronger on Boxing Day.
