  1. i agree with @Richo, hes the most improved. we are lucky that every player has played their role in our season but adam chicksen has been on a another level this season. hes been fantastic!
  2. last season we had a 2-0 win over them but i am mindful that they can cause problems that prevent chances. they know this league well and wont be push overs. we need to see a strong away performance, at least thats what i hope for. whatever the outcome, i refuse to feel defeated.
  3. i think hes done well when he comes in, at times i actually think he deserves a run in the team. the way he can go through players is magical at times. he does not look like a player who can be that skilful but he does it gracefully. deffo a great addition to the team.
  4. the way dorking scored it reminded me of why we are in the national league, it was careless defending but i do feel jim o brien could have tried to get his foot on the ball. hes not to blame solely for the goal but dorking worked the chance well and to their advantage. a different team may have choked to finish that chance. i did wonder how we would score when we hit the post and forced their defenders to block so many efforts on goal. i thought they were going to park the bus and if we had not scored, i think that would have made it harder. thankfully notts worked hard to get back in, i think everyone who played did well. fantastic win in front of the biased bt sports cameras.
  5. very good play by notts to get back into the game, i thought dorking made it difficult at first and they looked decent on the counter. once notts upped the pressure, we become unstoppable. good result!
  6. i think he will stay, all the players out of contract this summer are important squad players but kyle cameron is a must to nail down. i hope he does extend his stay as he seems settled, ruben and chicksen are also not far behind him in terms of players i hope remain at the club.
  7. the club does feel much more professional under the reedtz ownership, both brothers have put a lot of effort into giving the club a solid base to build on. all the signings have been pretty much spot on, the loan area for keepers could be better but that is probably down to what options are out there.
  8. i think it should be a good game, i would hope dorking bring the game to notts. i can see them having to do more running, so if we are smart we might tire them out. i think we are much stronger than when we last played them. we cant write them off but provided we create good chances, i can see us winning.
  9. i think if luke williams puts faith into brooks it will pay off, there is no point looking for another keeper when the lad from norwich cant even get into the first team. that loan is pretty redundant in my opinion. i think williams made a mistake by mentioning that the club are looking at other keepers, just praise brooks and leave it at that.
  10. i know some fans will feel frustrated but a point is better than nothing, langstaff salvaged our title race with it. bromley seem to know what makes us work, maybe today was that and a bit of pressure but i hope we do come back stronger. it sounded quite painful to watch at times, with nothing to much happening and i took away from the game that they can consider themselves unlucky not to have beaten us.
  11. langstaffs goal was very carefully placed, but the ball through by rodrigues was equally nice.
  12. i am partly surprised but then i did not realise how few games ed had played this season. i know people say hes too lightweight but i think there is a lot of promise there. with bostock its going to be hard to get in and we now have vincent wanting games too. so i should not be that surprised.
  13. 3 wins in their last 5 games, they seemed to dip a little before their win against torquay. they seem a side that can hold out for a draw but i am not really sure what i expect. i think with the run of games we have had, fatigue will be a concern but i believe williams will set us up to win. unlike ardley or burchnall, we are going for more than just a point so it should be an interesting game. with our fans selling out the away end i hope they can bring a lot of energy too.
  14. i have 110% faith in luke williams and this notts squad. notts needs to put saturday as far out of mind as possible, go focus, work hard and i am sure the points will come back with us. there has been a lot of hard work going into games, it cant be undone with one or two defeats in a whole season.
  15. i think its been mentioned that we can go again, its 2 defeats so far all season. notts have shown they have character and fight, we need to match it with passion.
  16. how notts gave them a way back in to the game was beyond frustrating, just so easy and i am disappointed that baldwin could not bite his tongue only to be sent off. he was probably just frustrated and maybe right but we need him on the pitch. the game was entertaining from the neutral, for us we have to grin and bear what is a very shocking performances by match officials who should not be allowed to referee a kids game. i dont want to make excuses but we were robbed due to the poor officiating.
  17. the referee played up to the cameras but both teams did well, though i would have hoped to draw.
  18. when i have seen them play, they try to play proper football but i have not seen them much this season. i do know they can get themselves back in games so notts will have to be at their best defensively. its more these games that make me a little wary than others, as a team i am sure they can adapt their style. it should be a good game. dont forget if you cant make the game, its live on bt sports.
  19. it sounds like the reedtz brothers have built some good foundations for us, the communication between them and the manager. just generally do what is right for each other. considering the past managers other owners have hired, i have full faith in them because so far its 2 in 2 for the reedtz. they have done so much more than building false hope or using the club as a means to pal up with ex premier league players.
  20. these things tend to be a joke though, someone will get the higher up job and just be a stooge for the fa or whoever. we need football minds coming in and helping, with people who understand business. its about time english football acted on the amount of shoddy owners clubs have had but it needs to be carefully planned out. with people who are unbiased and care about football, not hidden agendas.
  21. i like the signing, i think hes a good player but notts have hyped a loan player that people will see that his level is this league. i do hope he does well, much like jodi jones.
  22. i thought notts showcased some of their best football night. it was very tidy and uniformed at the back, solid in the middle with determination to score. i like how we managed to get a 4th despite taking langstaff off. also i thought southend looked decent. i think they will make the playoffs, one of the better passing teams i have seen this season at meadow lane.
  23. the notts players delivered a exceptional performance last night.
  24. i thought it was destined to be a draw but when we score late in games, another tends to follow. maybe yeovil morale dropped enough to make the difference with bagging the other goals. maybe @GrannyPie gave them a whack with her walking sticks. i am just glad that we did not drop any points. hopefully on tuesday we can make it 7 wins in a row. wrexham are starting to leak goals left right and centre, so we have everything to play for. ????????
  25. under the floodlights again! night matches are great. i fully expect barnet to throw everything but the kitchen sink at notts. they will probably watched footage from previous games and i hope they dont throw bodies into the box like chesterfield did for their equaliser. i think we just need to frustrate them by retaining the ball.
