  1. i wont be driving myself, as i am unsure where would be wise but i will be going by coach. someone should be able to help/advice you. i have moved the topic and re titled it to help. goodluck @gtownjohnno
  2. it would be good to maintain the current winning streak, it would be a good thing for the home playoff tie. i know form and the season games can go out of the window but determination and spirt can be a big part of that. york should be a standard game for notts, allow our midfield to tire them out and just press with creativity. hopefully both teams will have plenty of chances and score some good goals. i think notts will win 4-1.
  3. well said @Piethagoram, the press dont care about the truth if it gets in the way of their story and in this case a funny but quite biased at the same time.
  4. great news that he has signed a two year deal, i was hoping we would learn about maybe one of the other key plays but chicksen has been fantastic this season. its good to see him commit to the club.
  5. oh yeah, you could barely see the pitch in that game! it was crazily snowing that day.
  6. well done @Fozzy, i enjoyed taking part in this again @CliftonMagpie its been another fun round.
  7. its a waste of such a talent but if he plays, there is the chance he will pick up international caps and attract a european team down the line. if hes happy in china, who am i to knock it but for someone who burst into the headlines to settle for a country which does not have the best rep in football. it just seems a shame.
  8. i am set to satisfied, i will be keeping this set for a bit longer as i still do feel the way,
  9. great news @Megan_Elizax, next season i want to do more away games for sure but i will be renewing my season ticket. i hope you have great fun watching notts, just remember if you have not been when its cold just to wrap up that extra bit more. the stands can turn you into a human icicle for sure.
  10. yes, i will be. i am trying to convince my dad and uncle to renew theirs but for the kop, they have been coming for a few seasons now and i know both have enjoyed watching notts this season. i think they are slowly turning black and white, instead of blood red.
  11. i don’t really like most sports. cricket, rugby, tennis, they don’t bother me. for me, football is more about the day out and the community. winning and success is just a bonus. it’s about being part of something bigger and sharing the experience with others.
  12. i don’t really mind any of those teams, but ideally chesterfield would need to play twice. i would rather they have it harder. some fans will say they will benefit from playing more, but the playoffs are a lottery. notts are in fine form and just need to be mindful going into games and avoiding costly mistakes.
  13. i dont see any reasons why nobody would renew, so hopefully the 4k mark will hit 4.2-4.5k. it would be nice to see more fans in the family stand.
  14. congratulations to wrexham for winning the national and securing their return back to the football league. i wish you all the best in your future endeavours and hope to play against you again in the near future.
  15. is it steve cherry this time?
  16. it’s amazing how much emotions can be stirred up by something as simple as a song. when the crowd starts singing and the energy is high, it’s hard not to get caught up in the moment. it’s a beautiful thing to see how much joy and passion can be shared through music and sports.
  17. i noticed that @Dan shared this on facebook, i thought it would be nice to share with those overseas and general fans as it did well last time.
  18. i am happy for jim o brien, he is what every fan wants in a notts player. a good guy, hard working and just focused on doing the best not just by himself but the squad. 5-2 is a good scoreline, which does show our confidence no matter what maidstones quality is because you can only beat whats in front of you. they tried to claw back, which does deserve acknowledging and i hope we can go into the next game against york feeling the waves of this game.
  19. i think we are getting better at recruiting players each season, i think one aspect fans tends to forget is the amazing data notts has behind them with the company that the reedtz owns. that resource is invaluable to the club and must make tracking players who can form a short list of potential signings much easier. as i said, this year having side from clubs around us and teams that did well against us, its the way that the club must continue to adapt to doing. now the squad has a lot of established heads, we can build on that spine and in principle i think it should make signing players easier to fit in. morale and confidence is everything, so being willing to pay a fee for the right player must make them want to repay the club for taking that faith. i hope as we grow, we continue to sign the better players around us and form a solid squad based on players who have the ability to motivate themselves. rather than players who join, get released and follow that circle. not all will be bad but we have spent far too long bringing in the wrong types of players.
  20. i love the caption that notts gave the highlights, so much easier to watch on the eyes and much more enjoyable to listen too than maidstones highlights.
  21. sloppy mistake for the first goal, for someone who some fans say his legs have gone he did not half react to it quickly. lovely goals and moves at times. the quality of the highlights are decent but the angle could be better and i would hate the commentators to be ours.
  22. jim deserves it, hes been excellent for the most part of the season and always comes into the squad wanting to get the best out of it. i do not know why a small minority would be idiots towards such a player that has given us this amount of loyal service. i personally think they just want to moan and get rid of any connection to the team that got relegated from the football league which seems unfair. the result was a good one, very pleased by it and their pitch looked shocking.
  23. i know there is a bit a jealousy in our camp when it comes to wrexham and their owners, especially ryan reynolds but he just comes across a very nice person. wishing us all the best and saying that he is rooting for us, well not many other owners or people in football would say that. most would ramble on about their club, their season and pay no attention to anyone else.
  24. this could be good fun! i like the idea of it. so if he was born in 1970, he most likely wouldn't be play and has been retired for a few years. the youngest he could be is 40 if i am right with that and if hes played for 20 clubs, i cant imagine hes still playing. can i ask what the highest level it is that he played in?
  25. i dont know if this squad will perform better on the pitch, its possible something that benefits them but i have faith the squad will work hard. if we can create some good chances, the game should be winnable. i don't think we need to overthink to much, with the way some of the players are in form they need to be kept in. as for how to break them down, we need to see some of the players like rodrigies and chicksen step up. i cant see williams giving chicksen a rest at this stage even though he seems to need it.
