Lionesses
it was a good goal, but the quality since ellen white has retired is obvious, its hard to see where the goals will come from. i think the manager sets the players up to play well enough, but there is not enough in front of the opposition goal.

More injury misery for Callum Roberts?
@Piethagoram thats brilliant news, hopefully its just a bad bruise and nothing else more serious than that. cal deserves a bit of luck in the injury department.

Weekend Plans Friday 28th - Sunday 30th
I am going to Shrewsbury tomorrow, no plans other than that. Sunday I usually go to my mums but I think she's going out with my Aunt, so I will probably just sit at home on my own. ????

Notts County strengthens defence with loan signing of Ollie Tipton from Wolves
it sounds like a very good signing, a young promising defender who will have to work hard to get into the team and this should motivate all of the defenders. he looks good on the ball, quite mobile and aware of when he's needed to drop back, instead of just pushing forward. the loan is idea, as it gives us a bit of padding.

Welcome Steveyward

Wrexham flew their team to 16 NL games last season!
i think it is something that could be re-considered, i was not aware that a lot of premier league teams did it. on my travels i have seen many club coaches go past me, dont see the point in flying when you can go in a coach. i dont think a train is very viable for a professional team personally.

Ollie Tipton joins from Wolves
he sounds like a good signing, i am pleased we have another addition and in the area we ideally needed. welcome to meadow lane and notts county, ollie tipton.

Match Discussion: PSF - Salop (A)
i hope we approach it more as if it was a cup game, without risking anyones fitness or injuries but in a way that would send a message that we are ready for the new season. it could be difficult, but having a go and seeing it pay off would be great going into sutton. if we lose or play poorly, blame it on being a friendly.

Ian Burchnall interview with TalkSport
@menzinho did you listen to his post match interviews where he was moaning about notts fans, he never once acted like it was minority. there was rumours leading into the final few home games that he was off, which i personally believe which i did not at the time but there was a lot of people saying that he was off to forest green rovers well before we knew. the way he left, it looked like it was all pre planned and it comes across a bit disrespectful if i am completely honest. i have read comments over the years about sam allardyce being disloyal for leaving to manage bolton. this is similar to that in a way, but at least sam supported bolton and did not try to turn on the fans prior to making his decision. anyone could foresee that it was a stupid decision to join them.

Notts Countyβs David McGoldrick on Hard Work, Fitness, and the Upcoming Season
hes such a down to earth guy, it shines through when he plays on the pitch. i am excited about the squad, i think they will work hard and we should have a good season. with david mcgoldrick coming back, it really does have this special feeling that we could achieve something special. i also still believe we can win the league, but it will go down to form.

Andy Dallas to Barnsley
to me it seems like a good move for both players but if he dont hit the ground running, barnsley need to give him time. its a step up but he has shown with chesterfield he knows where the net is. he could be a great capture for them.

McGoldrick screamer at Alfreton
i knew the moment he shuck off the defender that the ball was going to end up the back of the net, it just had that feeling, you could see he realised it opened up enough for him to have a shot. its an excellent striker. i am pleased for david mcgoldrick.

More injury misery for Callum Roberts?
poot callum roberts, i hope hes okay and manages to come back stronger. i think a talented player like him deserves a bit of luck when it comes to injuries, but it does seem hes plagued with them.

Super Ramβs Journey: A Lifelong Fan of Derby County FC and his Affection for Notts County
β€i love this! this is a brilliant insight and look into the story of @super_ram. its nice that he grew to like notts through marrying @GrannyPie, they both have been so kind to me. its nice to see some of the earlier points as super first got into football with his uncle stan, who sounds like a lovely guy. thank you for doing this super and @Chris. its brilliant and i hope fans who read this can also appreciate it.

David McGoldrick Scores in Notts County Pre-Season Win Over Alfreton Town
it was a superb effort, he had been looking like he would score all game and i am pleased that his effort struck the back of the net because it capped off a perfect performance by david mcgoldrick and notts in general. having a player who has an eye for goal like mcgoldrick does, will help hugely with scoring more goals from distance.

welcome to pon @George L, i hope you enjoy it here.

Luther Munakandafa and Lucien Mahovo: To Loan or Not to Loan?
neither will get much first team action, so loan them out for half of the season and review come their return. its important that they are not just sitting around, because you dont learn much from doing that and they are crying out for experience.

First Openly Transgender Player at a FIFA World Cup
firstly i think its great when people can feel safe knowing how they truly feel inside, it must be difficult for transgender people and at the same time it something they will know for sure is the right decision for them. i think football should be inclusive, i dont think people will say they are transgender just to play at the womens level for the sake of winning. i think thats a concern overstated by the media and authorities who are against it. there should probably be some rules in place, such being fully transitioned. other than that i think its good for fifa not have an issue with it, plus i respect canada for actively supporting their player.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Reds (A)
notts did well but i thought alfteton was weak on the ball, they allowed us to get it quite easily. their defending seemed uninterested at times, very basic and almost just stick a foot out and hope it puts notts off. not very effective at all. all of macaulay langstaffs goals were good crosses but better teams wont allow that space so easily. i felt sorry for the alfreton town keeper because he was playing without any defensive protection most of the time. david mcgoldricks goal was pure class, nothing could have been done about that. overall a good result but disappointed with the way alfreton played.

the72 are back at the rumour mill again
the 72 are at it again, however, rather than purely making them up as they go along. the 'realistically' emphasis is solely going on players frequently mentioned by notts fans. ???? jesse debrah and sam pearson are the players. https://the72.co.uk/2023/07/24/2-players-who-could-realistically-sign-for-notts-county-in-the-coming-weeks/
