  1. welcome to pon, @Stuart McNeil. thank you for joining us.
  2. welcome to pon, pleased to see you join us @BlackandWhitePie
  3. he seems happy doing his own thing, hes a real character. i met him a few years ago when he was a guest on match day at meadow lane. a fan told me after that i had my photo taken with killer, i did not know who he was. I just shook his hand because he put his out towards me. I was thinking why did i get told i had my picture taken with killer? he seemed very enough.
  4. i am glad you came back, i think i got a bit emotional from winning the playoffs but what i wrote is a true reflection of how i feel. thank you, im just me and do what i can. i dont think i do anything different that others would not for people they care about. pon has been very kind to me.
  5. okay, so your playing it like that then @CliftonMagpie. i will have my guess! is it lee canoville?
  6. i reached out to notts about chris during covid and all my emails were ignored, i felt a bit disappointed. jim o brien told me a few people, i tried them and eventually one replied. i think clubs need to support all fans of mental health equally. after @GrannyPies news, i worried chris would relapse and i am thankful for charlie who reached back to me, what is being adapted in germany needs to be done across football, germany are well on the front of everything. credit to them.
  7. anyone looking forward to us finally having some nice weather? summer is supposed to be here now.
  8. i wish them all the best, i remember when they used to be a league two team. i hope they manage to find a takeover and get their season back on track, there might be time or a few games might need pushing back if a owner can be found. if not, then i guess forfeiting the season and relegation is going to happen.
  9. @super_ram i think where derby had those sanctions, it should be applied to any club that are struggling but i strongly disagree with docking points. its a flaw in the system and the football league/fa need to acknowledge that they are to blame too. they cant turn a blind eye to poor financial management or clubs that just might need help.
  10. kids of today seem to be reviving longer hair, georges hair reminds me of mick hucknall. @Fan of Big Tone @Chris's jake reminds me of jake bugg. we could have a super band look a like in the future.
  11. i want to make all of the pre season games, if @Chris, @CliftonMagpie or @TheSkipper wants a lift. i am happy to drive. first come, first serve basis. the stoke city game will be a nice one, much better than i had expected. well done to the club for sorting it.
  12. i can listen to anything, but i do admit most new music is just repetitive and basic lyrics. i prefer the early 00s when the smooth rock was all the rage but i do like most 80s music.
  13. welcome to pon @Ohh Tommy Johnson, its great to have you here. if you need any help getting familiar with the site please just ask. i am glad you joined us.
  14. more needs to be done to make sure clubs are spending with their means, especially when a takeover happens. the buyer should have the responsibility to make repayments on any debts owed and reform to a spending plan for 5 years or so. then the football league or fa can review. too many teams are ending up in this situation.
  15. plymouth to spend all of their promotion money on one player? the stories been picked up but we dont learn anything new. it just focuses on who langstaff is. its a slow news day in plymouth. https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/plymouth-argyle-linked-notts-county-8472101
  16. aww this is brilliant! congratulations to the family, i bet oscar loves his little brother, wait for him to teach macaulay how to play football!
  17. i will look up hotels in perama now. joking.
  18. i hope the right good goal wins, i dont mind if its not what i chose but i think things sway unfairly to macca.
  19. lenovo and samsung have models with good batteries, decent ram and plenty of storage. i would suggest £200 upwards, i am not sure what it is in terms of dollars. if you find one, share a link here and i am sure we can advice you. its important you find one you like the look off. i am sure @Chris would lend you his thoughts too, hes great with technology.
  20. it looks great mate, i hope he uses it. i know you wont be bothered if he dont but the time you put into it, i think it deserves it.
  21. i think league on is harder for teams who haven't been in the championship for awhile to gain promotion, those that do need to have a good team and a lot of belief. once you get there, i think most find that they can become a good league one team. the championship is not as good as people say, it can be but you just need a good team and depth, a manager can make all the difference. the premier league wont see another leicester city story for ages if ever, to much money is pumped into it. its not hard if the playing field for all clubs was level but teams still spend huge fees and its hard to see how the financial fair play helps.
  22. if it saves the environment and proves to be cost effective, yes but the main concern i have is the condition and how clean the reusable cups would be. i assume they are cups you take with you and clean yourself?
  23. there are a few foreign workers at my work place, i have tried to encourage them to come support notts. they dont speak english very well but are passionate about football. i remember a group of us talking about football, one of them thought we only had one club. i told him about notts, he thought it was nottingham forest. i offered to pay for them to come to meadow lane when the low tickets were on offer but i think they felt nervous. every now or then i will tell them about notts and they are picking it up. the one who thoughts notts were forest, he now knows of macaulay langstaff and claps every time hes mentioned.
  24. no, not really. i used to but there are many that i would keep an eye on but it would just be too time consuming. i only ever hear about them on the news, sky, social media or pon.
