  1. i watch the big games, including friendlies and maybe some of the less glamourous ones but i dont watch all. i think the work that has gone into improving the national team, it deserves the suppor.
  2. @DangerousSausage you really did not miss much, seeing how malta played they was never going to give him enough time to make an impact. england was very good, but at the same time malta were very poor. disorganised, poor in passing, defensively weak. i know malta are very average but i have seen more fight from teams with much weaker squads.
  3. no need to be sorry, i just thought i would mention it. it does not bother me that it happened, i still see both of my parents.
  4. unfortunately, yes. but he has been a season ticket holder at notts with my uncle for the past 3 seasons i think. he had been going to games the season we were relegated from the football league, at first it was for support because of the ah situation but i think hes enjoyed it. i did not take you post wrong or anything, but my parents are separated and its fine.
  5. he might not be a first team regular but would be one for the future, i hope the club looks to bring him back because if liverpool felt he had potential. then we should try to get it out of him further, he just needs experience and someone to aid him with how to improve further. it could be a good fit bringing him back to notts, we have so many players he could learn from.
  6. @Fan of Big Tone yes, its heartbreaking. i have seen a few documentaries about it, one was on the bbc following a married couple. the husband had recently been diagnosed and his son started filming it from that moment. i think his son said he worked in production, but it showed how it took effect and slowly turned him into someone they barely recognised. His wife was very supportive, but ended up needing to get him into a care home due to violence and anger. it unfolded and was very unpleasant to watch. i think they divorced but she still went to see him, he did not know what was happening and felt he had been abandoned. that he could not figure out what he had done wrong. im incorrect, it was his grandfather.
  7. i think we already follow each other, i think engaging with each outside of pon would be a nice touch. i have been doing this with tony, but i dont tend to tweet much because of unpleasant comments by some on there. i stay within my comfort and i think it would be nice to support our pon friends. is there a way we could create a circle between all of us? i dont really understand that feature tho. yes, i like allardyces tash. i wont tag dangeroussausage in but both of those two have a good sense of humour.
  8. i am curious about the process the club will undertake in order to find a suitable ceo, i think pulling a business mind from outside of football might be a good call. someone who has a good history working with companies, as the football side will come with time. im not saying we will, but how many unemployed ceo are there that have football experience? probably not many. we might even recruit someone from the national league, i think that is quite likely.
  9. @Chris @Fan of Big Tone i bet he was yelling at the players, shouting what are you doing and to shoot, you know on the crest of every emotion during the game. my dad and uncle are the same, they come back from games saying to me that notts played well, but will point out a certain moment and tell me that this should have been done. then say something about forest, i will joke about notts and he will say i like county but i am a red son. once you experience notts, its hard not to be come invested.
  10. just to mention when i came on just a few moments ago, i had to sign in again. i never have to sign in and i am wondering if its worth mentioning just incase its done the same with others who may forget their passwords. not a big thing, but i think i should mention it. thanks gaffer.
  11. best news of the day, i did not know until i got home and checked my phone. i think its great. there has been some split opinions on kyle cameron but i think he will get stronger. him and aden baldwin make a good partnership with connell rawlinson or richard brindley coming in. if we sign another cb, i we try richard brindley out wide on the right. i love when he goes forward.
  12. does anyone think the 4 years so far has flown by? i know it will because things are good, but it just seems to have swept past. its a shame we could not skip the last two owners, as i think the reedtz would have us playing higher if they took over after we won league two. even skipping all the petty and stupid drama would be nice. those days when the bills had not been paid just dragged and dragged.
  13. @super_ram is great, i love reading his posts and the banter is something that the sites missed for ages. the prediction league used to make me smile with @DangerousSausage getting comments about the teams he would choose. just like @Joshua, i feel the same feel i have grown to know ???? and his family very well. i have mentioned before i dont have many friends from my school days, too many people thought i was weird and special (not in a good way). but it takes really nice people to put that faith in you, that it helps you come out and as i write this i am tearful. i think the world of the late @GrannyPie, but i am pleased to know super and i like him equally. super has always been supportive, always correcting me when i doubt myself and that had been drilled into my most of life life so i am glad that someone thinks otherwise. i dont care if hes a derby fan, i respect derby because of it and wish them well. i know secretly he is more a pie than a ram, hence why he is here and cheers us all up. i hope this does the same to him because hes a great person. thank you for making sure @Chris got the help he needed, i did not know completely and i think its amazing of you.
  14. working today, i had no spare time really. i dont mind but even my dinner break was cut short, tho i volunteered. i consider myself to be a team player and we managed to get the warehouse cleaned inside and then the yard/car park. it takes a lot of work to get it done in just one shift. saturday i will be going to see my aunt and uncle, i think they are planning to have a pub meal. sunday my dad wants to take me fishing, not really into it but i like spending time with him. i dont quite enjoy using rods to catch fish, even if we do put them back. i know i will come across as funny but its just not for me.
  15. i cant answer because i have only been to see chesterfield and one other non league team, yet i will pay attention to what fans say. reasonable journeys i will happy take anyone who wants to go, i want to start doing the 72 stadiums thing. i noticed @Megan_Elizax posted it on twitter. megan, i think you have a post idea there. i cant really start it with two non league grounds. say hi to @ARLukomski for me please.
  16. sorry, @Fan of Big Tone. but do you have the pon remote? i need to switch over. ???? i think i remember @Fozzy and @Piethagoram mentioning cricket and going to trent bridge to see england.
  17. after a busy day at work, this is great news to come home to. i am so pleased that kyle cameron has signed. he said on twitter that it had been signed for awhile, so the club has known where to build. hes a good captain and will only get better.
  18. i agree, his experience and character is a great thing to have the dressing room and club. we are lucky to have him and i hope he enjoys the season ahead. fingers crossed he impresses, i hope he would coach for notts down the lane.
  19. issue with moving to quickly, is we need everything in place to survive. some teams are lucky they do well, others struggle and go back down. relegation could lead to a period where we are like was in the national league pushing for promotion rather than being a real driving force. i think we are good enough to go straight up, but i think we would need a few players who are extra quality to remain up there. we have a strong fighting spirit, but sometimes thats not enough. i do believe we will be fine regardless.
  20. its a difficult job, which needs a lot of hands on experience and i would hope the board chooses someone who has a good reputation in the game. i would prefer someone unconnected to the club, because sometimes that can get in the way of real progress behind the scenes.
  21. just dont go on a bender or what us notts now refer to 'a ruben rodrigues weekender bender' @super_ram.
  22. i will be going to cyprus for my next holiday, everythings booked. it will only be for 4 days, but i plan to go away for longer when it starts to get colder here, so then my thoughts are to go explore somewhere like india.
  23. funny @Fan of Big Tone, i have missed this type of laughter! i post to everything and i try my hardest to make it of value, i want to support those who put time in making a contribution. my comments might not be the best, but they are written with the best of my intention. i usually dont have many things to post to because i am on point with discussions, but i have had a few days where i have come to my surprise to see quite a few new items. when i see them, i try to make sure i have not missed any. my routine is to comment on what has the biggest priority with what time i have.
  24. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @rhodship66. i am pleased you joined us, do tell us a bit about yourself.
  25. if you say his name with a german style accent, i think it might get some funny looks. it sounds quite bad. i bet he gets no end of people calling him it whilst he plays or taking the mickey out of his last name. i am waiting also for the club just to announce players.
