  1. delighted to see that connell rawlinson has agreed a new deal, i think 2 years gives both him and notts the flexability to see how his performances impact the team. as it mentions, he has experience at this level and we need a variety of that.
  2. i liked him at first but then he went pretty awful, misplacing passes and looking out of depth. i felt after he left that he would end up playing for most of the local non league teams. its a shame because he did look very good once.
  3. okay, so your playing it like that then @CliftonMagpie. i will have my guess! is it lee canoville?
  4. kids of today seem to be reviving longer hair, georges hair reminds me of mick hucknall. @Fan of Big Tone @Chris's jake reminds me of jake bugg. we could have a super band look a like in the future.
  5. aww this is brilliant! congratulations to the family, i bet oscar loves his little brother, wait for him to teach macaulay how to play football!
  6. i hope the right good goal wins, i dont mind if its not what i chose but i think things sway unfairly to macca.
  7. i think league on is harder for teams who haven't been in the championship for awhile to gain promotion, those that do need to have a good team and a lot of belief. once you get there, i think most find that they can become a good league one team. the championship is not as good as people say, it can be but you just need a good team and depth, a manager can make all the difference. the premier league wont see another leicester city story for ages if ever, to much money is pumped into it. its not hard if the playing field for all clubs was level but teams still spend huge fees and its hard to see how the financial fair play helps.
  8. no, not really. i used to but there are many that i would keep an eye on but it would just be too time consuming. i only ever hear about them on the news, sky, social media or pon.
  9. did he play in midfield @CliftonMagpie?
  10. i am not just saying this because he returned, but i missed @Fan of Big Tone. i know how much he was missed by @super_ram, @GrannyPie and @Chris. im just glad that he is back! @KB1862 is great when he has time, i know he will back when time allows. @TheCalFoster is another who comes and goes, but i like reading his thoughts. he always writes them in a way you can relate too, even if you dont agree or feel hes just upset. you can respect that. @Riverleeno disappeared suddenly, he is also someone i liked to read their comments. i then think of when @MuddyPatchPie would pop on and contribute i thought she was great too. @Cobby posts on the facebook group of pons, i wished he had time for the site. even @magpiejue i looked forward to seeing her replies and miss them when she does not come on. so many wonderful people that makes the pon community. even one comment a week would be nice to see.
  11. bostock vs wrexham but the club will give it to one of langstaffs goals so he sweeps 3 awards.
  12. future 'signing of the season' for pon at the end of the upcoming season i feel. superb! massive coup for us and something which may have a knock on effect with the other players who have been offered new deals.
  13. this is brilliant news, jodi is a great signing for notts! i am well happy.
  14. @DangerousSausage im begging you to do it, it will be a brilliant feature! ???????? i hope you would have the time. ????????
  15. macaulay langstaff is not like most players, in his down time he decides to go back home and meets people at his former school. look at all the excited faces on the childrens faces. if we can get that response from fans in nottingham, we may get some more young supporters on board. i wished notts would give free school tickets again, not just to these football groups. its what got me hooked!
  16. @DangerousSausage why not turn this into a feature? first game, the 100 mark, 500 mark, 1000 mark etc. you reflect on where we were at each major milestone. i think it would be a brilliant feature if you thought you could. its very impressive that we are not that far from hitting the 5,000 mark.
  17. if wrexham fans can believe that they will succeed, i believe we can. the fact we have a good squad as things are and players offered new deals. if they sign it will be time to go again. it may turn out to be harder than i think but after being in the national league, league two does not compare. 4 teams gain promotion, lets hope we are one of them!
  18. i think the season the club tried focing jonathan forte out of the door, with kevin nolan just leaving he out was a poor decision. he has always delivered the goods, his earlier spell was impactful and when he returned i was glad. the pride of nottingham stood behind forte, i think @Chris and @Joe Jones sponsored him as a sign of support. he did very well for us against coventry, he was a game changer in the home tie and we should not have had the goal disallowed.
  19. we are going to peg wrexham to the title, i dont care if they sign danny drinkwater. we have matt palmer! if ben foster stays, we have sam slocombe! i know its going to be tough but i have a feeling we will be in the running. if the players hit the ground running we could really make a go at trying to go back to back with promotions. whatever happens, i will be cheering them on and hoping we have a good finish. at the end of the day it will be nice just to be back in league two.
  20. hayden mullins? hes from reading so that goes out of the window.
  21. i think since we have had matt palmer the club has improved with pressing and picking the ball up, hes always trying to get it back and watches the ball well. i have been impressed by him from his first season, he just seems to get better and the arrival of john bostock allowed him to focus more on his attacking play. its good more fans are starting to appreciate what he brings to the side, he would be one of the first players named in my own match XI and to say how many games he played this past season, it just shows his importance to the side.
  22. you see as the video progresses how @ARLukomskis excitement builds. when he first talks near the hospitality entrance he seems nervous as hell. you can tell what he means. superb video!
  23. i think its not actually been that bad either, the standard of football for me turned out to be better. there are too many teams in league two that just lump the ball forward or use their physicality to muscle out play. i preferred the 4 years in the fifth tier more than most of the seasons i have seen us in league two. under our current ownership, squad and how more on board the fan base is due to all this, its promising.
