  1. targeting schools works, as i am an example of that. i have paid in multiple times than the single free ticket i took as a youngster. i know people moan about notts giving free tickets to schools, but i am convinced its more effective than football groups. i dont see why the club stopped doing it. restoring the youngpies back to full health would help, rather than its current half arsed state. family fun days is another great idea which notts tends to do, sending the players into schools, being proactive in local communities and areas where notts fans live. to be fair, i think the football on the pitch has helped bring more younger fans, i would not say we are the same club people branded as most older fans. i think its more mixed. i cant say this for sure about the pavis, but the family and kop stands are.
  2. he looks to be a good signing, i like what hes said and i think he should thrive even more with us
  3. he was awful and very average, only thing was his pace and control. if he could cross, he would have been a better winger than a striker.
  4. league two and one, along with the national league is what i plan to focus on. so, yes I will.
  5. to say you have been away on your families holiday, @Chris. i think you have done brilliantly with the content. as with how long @Simon Clark would have spent on writing his feature, i realise that for you to proof, publish and post takes time. i love the quality right now, i think the standard is very high.
  6. the bbc article does not give much, its more a cut and dry take on the situation, footballers are easy targets. male/female victims of sexual assault deserve their cases being taken seriously. i have this feeling just by reading the article that there is more to the story. i obviously dont know what the judge knows or has seen in terms of evidence but it seems one persons account and the cctv. this just does not sound right to me. either it was paddy or the person paddy believes it to be, they have cctv and that is the only real piece of evidence it seems. i dont get the dna comment, but if an avenue has not been explored properly i do wonder if there is going to be a huge mistake.
  7. simon clarke i can appreciate the amount of effort and time that has gone into researching this piece, it must have been a lot. thank you for writing it, i enjoy reading your features and posts! i think there is a pitfall when money, club size, quality of players and owners that plays part in a teams relegation back to the nation league. that does not mean it dont happen to teams that are good and have everything going for it, sometimes football can be weird but i think most of the times its down to one of the earlier points i mentioned. a lot of the notts players seem to enjoy their football, arriving to the ground with smiles and the squads chemistry is at a high. this is why i think notts could be one of the few teams that can get back to back promotions, i wont be disappointed if we dont but i do believe we can be one of 3 or 4 teams to be in for the title this upcoming season.
  8. it just gets better and better for macaulay langstaff, i am pleased that he has scooped more awards. his efforts this past season really does deserve it.
  9. hes a great keeper that just needs the support we afford others at times. im certain he will play a big role in taking us further! so pleased sam slocombe signed on again.
  10. i have nothing but respect for connell rawlinson, he has played his part in getting us back up and i love that he wants to go again and aim for promotion. how is throws himself into dangerous situations without a thought, carries on even when he's picked up head injuries shows his dedication. its time we as fans cut him some slack and stop criticizing him for being slow etc.
  11. i don't understand it. ???? do you just guess words that fit? i am not really sure, i have not played it but at the same time i have seen people especially on twitter play it.
  12. delighted to see that connell rawlinson has agreed a new deal, i think 2 years gives both him and notts the flexability to see how his performances impact the team. as it mentions, he has experience at this level and we need a variety of that.
  13. i liked him at first but then he went pretty awful, misplacing passes and looking out of depth. i felt after he left that he would end up playing for most of the local non league teams. its a shame because he did look very good once.
  14. i would chip in if i can but i only play for a hour at the most every day, not enough time otherwise.
  15. welcome, @HarryNCFC0. glad you have joined us on pon. i hope to see your input.
  16. okay, so your playing it like that then @CliftonMagpie. i will have my guess! is it lee canoville?
  17. kids of today seem to be reviving longer hair, georges hair reminds me of mick hucknall. @Fan of Big Tone @Chris's jake reminds me of jake bugg. we could have a super band look a like in the future.
  18. aww this is brilliant! congratulations to the family, i bet oscar loves his little brother, wait for him to teach macaulay how to play football!
  19. i hope the right good goal wins, i dont mind if its not what i chose but i think things sway unfairly to macca.
  20. lenovo and samsung have models with good batteries, decent ram and plenty of storage. i would suggest Β£200 upwards, i am not sure what it is in terms of dollars. if you find one, share a link here and i am sure we can advice you. its important you find one you like the look off. i am sure @Chris would lend you his thoughts too, hes great with technology.
  21. i think league on is harder for teams who haven't been in the championship for awhile to gain promotion, those that do need to have a good team and a lot of belief. once you get there, i think most find that they can become a good league one team. the championship is not as good as people say, it can be but you just need a good team and depth, a manager can make all the difference. the premier league wont see another leicester city story for ages if ever, to much money is pumped into it. its not hard if the playing field for all clubs was level but teams still spend huge fees and its hard to see how the financial fair play helps.
  22. no, not really. i used to but there are many that i would keep an eye on but it would just be too time consuming. i only ever hear about them on the news, sky, social media or pon.
  23. did he play in midfield @CliftonMagpie?
  24. i am not just saying this because he returned, but i missed @Fan of Big Tone. i know how much he was missed by @super_ram, @GrannyPie and @Chris. im just glad that he is back! @KB1862 is great when he has time, i know he will back when time allows. @TheCalFoster is another who comes and goes, but i like reading his thoughts. he always writes them in a way you can relate too, even if you dont agree or feel hes just upset. you can respect that. @Riverleeno disappeared suddenly, he is also someone i liked to read their comments. i then think of when @MuddyPatchPie would pop on and contribute i thought she was great too. @Cobby posts on the facebook group of pons, i wished he had time for the site. even @magpiejue i looked forward to seeing her replies and miss them when she does not come on. so many wonderful people that makes the pon community. even one comment a week would be nice to see.
